I have a Fire HD 10 and it's slow and laggy and needs reboots to spruce it up a bit. Is this thing going to perform better? I'm not interested in joining Apple's ecosystem but I have been thinking of getting an iPad although as I only occasionally use my tablet it's probably not worth the expense. Anybody know how these compare performance-wise with Fire HD 10?

If you have access to a laptop or PC, consider installing Fire Toolbox from XDA Forums. Once connected to your tablet, you will be able to disable a lot of Amazon bloatware, telemetry, and ads. If you're not happy with Fire OS, you'll be able to add your own custom launcher as well which will speed it up considerably.

But to answer your overall question, this will outperform the Fire HD 10 quite considerably.

Be aware of the netflix and Amazon prime video not playing in hd unless you constantly reset the certificates which requires an app, it's a total pain ,and a known flaw which they refuse to address, otherwise a great tablet

Does it come with a stylus pen?

My partner is in China right now. Managed to pick me up 8+256gb and pen for under £200 in Shenzhen. Downside is its CN rom.. hopefully can change that.

Good deal this one.. from amazon, returnable and global rom. Downside 6gb ram. Should be fine with 6gb though.

I bought a Pad 5 two years ago, after owning a couple of Android tablets previously and having bad experiences with them slowing down and being unresponsive the Pad 5 has never missed a beat.

Love my Pad 5, same bought after bad experiences with chepaer damsungs and amazon fire tablets. This just takes everything you trow at it and is excellent

Chrome doesn't work correctly on mine since updating to the new hyperOS.

    good to know.

Just cancelled my order after hearing the random issues people are getting. Xiaomi never seen to support their devices well enough, often leaving devices behind with unresolved issues while they push forwards with new devices.

Really wanted the higher resolution screen on this for reading magazines, but think ill keep my Lenovo P11 Plus for a bit longer.

Not saying it's perfect, but the hyperos update adds functionality to reapply certificates. I'm happy with mine. Every time I use a 10 inch tablet, and come back to this, I really appreciate the extra screen size. No lag and it's really premium feeling.

This was free with the Xiomi 13T pro a month back?

But you had to pay £509 for the 13t pro, or did you get them both for free?

Global one drops close to £200 during one of those mega AliExpress sales with coupons added. Plus no VAT added because it is above £135 but then you hope it's not caught in Customs. I got one for my mother around £180 during Black Friday.

Obviously, did say this is for those who don't want AliExpress. (edited)

Any disadvantages with the global versions? The one listed for £230 a few weeks back was the 8gb version too.

I've got the pad 5 and I paid more than this for it. If this is as good as the pad 5 I think it's a bargain.

Great price! Very rarely less than £369 before auto discounts on Mi Store UK. Heat!

"Qualcomm Snapdragon 6" is in the Amazon title

    yet "https://www.mi.com/uk/product/xiaomi-pad-6/" states Snapdragon® 870,

    as does gsmarena.com/xia…php,

is this deal a cut-down Xiaomi Pad 6?
    Smm0's avatar
Na its Snap 870. Its only cut downs are 6gb and 128gb

What's a "Xiaomi Pad 6 128 Go" or a "Snapdragon 6 Go"? Noticed it mentioned on a couple of these EU shop tablets on Amazon. (edited)

GO is an abbreviation for a GB (gigabyte) in French. A gigabyte is called a gigaoctet over there. (edited)

This is an excellent discount for an EU model.
I got a UK EU version last week for £170 after cashback from eBay.
Loads of people got them for free with an Xiaomi 14 phone, hence the discounted price.

Those ordering the Xiaomi 14 ultra will be getting the 8GB 256GB tablet soon. So these will be flooding eBay as well. But you won't get this edition for under £200. Might get it for the same price as this deal if you're lucky. (edited)

Ain't Lenovo p12 better same kind of price bracket
    jalaldevil's avatar
The CPU in this is nearly twice as fast as the P12.

Top 2 on evilBay has it for slightly less than 250£ if you wanna get this!

Not the brightest or best screen experience but generally good reviews, for the price, and good value for money, and perhaps especially so if part of a free bundle with a phone. An expensive phone. But that free tablet, though!
  23. nytramlean's avatar
Is this a significant upgrade to the pad 5?
    Deleted041071960810's avatar
When it was released, a lot of the reviewers said no - on the other hand expect the Pad 5 to stop receiving updates relatively soon.

Using the "pro" version of this and it handles everything I throw at it ( from the top of my head the core difference is the processor) would recommend from my usage of that device and this has the added bonus of native global tom so can sync with your native Global tom Xiaomi phone (can't do that with the pro since it's china only) please correct me if im mistaken dont want to spread any misinformation

The only weakness of this tablet is Android… anyone tried to run any alternative NIX on it? Will check with xda-developers, maybe someone has experience with this model… (edited)

How does the guarantee work if you are living in the UK? If you read the terms it says manufacture warranty does not apply?! (edited)
