I didn't realise they've dropped Yakuza from the title

Yeah the intention with #7 (titled "Yakuza Like A Dragon" was to signal the change, a new era too I suppose. Afterwards the West received Like A Dragon: Gaiden, Like A Dragon: Ishin (a remake) and now Like A Dragon: IW

Is this a new release or something I haven't played any of these but they look interesting in a Sega way

Newish been out a few months now. If you’ve never played these give Yakuza: Like a Dragon a go it can be picked up very cheap and it’s just awesome. I’ve put about 60+ hours into it and not even close to doing everything yet none of it feels like a chore to do. Unlike a lot of games these days that feel filled to the brim with busywork. This one got the balance right, aside from finding bugs to get a head start on weapon upgrades (completely optional) there’s basically no grinds and it even tells you that you should grind a bit before hitting the next stage so you avoid Dragon Quest syndrome where you’re woefully underpowered and have no way of grinding to fix it. So have to reload an earlier save and retread. YLAD has none of that. It’s a surprisingly compelling story too. I just cannot recommend Yakuza Like a Dragon highly enough. I need to find the time to finish it as I’m right near the end. Just life has gotten in the way right now.

Runs surprisingly well on a steamdeck too.

I'm certainly in two minds. Holding out for sub £30, as I still have Gaiden to finish off.
