  • You can find more deals

Few things to consider before you go ahead:

  • Pay by credit card or PayPal (if the option available) so you could be protected in the case if something goes wrong
  • Likely you will have a non-UK charger, and you will need an adapter or an adapter will be attached to your order
  • Use a fee-free card and pay in USD to save a bit more
  • Delivery can sometimes take a long time

Do they charge customs duty or excise duty?
    Crossbow's avatar
Depends on the item & cost.
Anything below £135 is charged 20% VAT by them & there's nothing more to pay when it is delivered.
Anything above £135 is charged 20% VAT by HMRC before delivery, plus a carrier processing fee of £8-25 depending on the value of the goods.
But this is dependent on what they declare on the package, many times mobile phones are undervalued apparently & there's nothing further to pay.
So can be hit & miss for anything above £135. (edited)

A list of all the codes would be nice because the HUKD Voucher section is abysmal with hidden codes and no commenting allowed.

idk, the Sonic the Hedgehog stickers I ordered from there recently might be knock offs...

I've bought so much from Ali express as they're so cheap and lots of things arrive in a week. And lots of free returns. By far my favourite selling site

It's a scam. I tried the speaker was a totally different prince in the Paypal / Google Pay checkout to the displayed price of the speaker (48p). I think Google pay showed it as £8.50, Paypal had it around £7.48.

Unfortunately AliExpress still has a bit of a bad rep but hopefully it improves as time goes by

It all depends on the seller. Definitely, the situation is easier to handle with a choice service if something goes wrong.

No much much worse as they have no Cs or anyone to contact when your goods don't arrive

Not sure what you mean. You can raise a claim if something is wrong. (edited)

    Delivery takes too long
    bozo007's avatar
Depends on the seller and item. I have had delivery within a week many times and beyond a month on some items. But in each case, it was delivered within the estimated delivery time so no surprises really.

Anyone got a quick "new and returning customers" guide?

Do you just create a new account with a new email but your name and address and payment the same?

Do you have to do so for every item, or can you have several in your basket and get the reduction on each?
    Crossbow's avatar
Use your existing account if you can, unless you're unable to do so for any reason?
If not, create a new account with new email & same details (you don't want to falsify any info!).

Only one redemption per code per account per order (they don't stack, but some will do with individual store codes), so you can use them all at least once on separate orders if this works best to maximise discounts.
Here it may also depend on the item/s value. An example to get the best out of it by adding something that takes you to the next threshold above hotukdeals.com/com…943 - in this case it was simply a case of adding a 50p item to get a £35 dscount in lieu of the previous £20, so well worth it.

Any more queries, please feel free to ask. There's no such thing as a stupid question! (edited)

Always do pay on delivery for a peace of mind, it's a no brainer I would have thought?
