I have just done a quick comparison between View 10 and Honor Play. Surprisingly Honor Play is cheaper with some better attributes compared to View 10

Items are automatically marked as B without headphones even though they bin them as they are not passed onto a new customer. Just a way of knocking you down on price.

Jan 22nd i think, looking at £450-£500 by looks, just bought my lad the 10v. £299 at carphoney warehouse, he didnt want to wait (skeptical)

You get some jokers everywhere . I was selling brand new iPhone xr on gumtree for £490 and I had people offering me 300 lol

who know but I often see them putting label in front of you when they pay you after testing it. .i purchased many Grade B from them which were not bad either ..they were definitely better graded than smartphonestore , applinacesdirect . magpie, envirophone etc What I like about them is free delivery and hassle free returns in store and I have returned dozens (change of mind) after 7 days of use

My mistake. I didn’t realise that you’d copied the reply direct from their website. It mentioned ‘us’ and I therefore thought you worked for them. Still haven’t ordered one yet!

Better than A7

Your guess is wrong i never worked for CeX.. i am just their customer who regularly buy and sell items from them..i already posted description of Grade A and B in opening post

How does this compare with the Samsung Galaxy A7?

Considering trading in my over 2 year old out of warranty s7 edge for one of these! Could end up only spending about 50 quid

Not sure its a fair comparison. Poles apart in cost. But I think the camera on this is great. For the money this phone is a steal compared to others.

I have not bought this yet so cant comment. Sorry

Its successor the View 20 is out in January so expecting further price drop so holding out with fingers crossed.

Only difference is it could be easier if you deal with the manufacturer. Not experienced a warranty issue at either site mind.

Great deal, OP (y)

Thanks for posting this, just purchased the last one(y) . Been looking for this phone on eBay in new condition around the 250 mark for a while. Broken box doesn’t bother me in the slightest, great deal.

Yep, works well too - which is just as well if the fingerprint thing is being a PITA

This phone also has face recognition as well as fingerprint

For those wondering, it's quite easy to cancel the which? membership - you can call / email them. They have a model template that you can fill in and email, I got an email back saying they cancelled the membership a few hours after sending. https://www.which.co.uk/help/terms-and-conditions/1955/your-which-membership

I got two when it was 219 thinking no way they'd be delivered. Both were - one from amazon and the other JL. Sold one last week using the eBay £1 selling fee. After fees actually made a small profit. Buyer left me nice message to say it was received and then left + feedback. Bought the phone for wife to replace her Sammy s7 and she loves it.

The camera is the best I've ever had on a phone. Even in low light I get decent shots I never managed on a Samsung. The videos are great too. I tend to charge every couple of days unless I've been playing games too much. I moved away from Samsung after my Note 4 died. I'm really happy with the phone and can't fault it for my needs.

How is the camera and battery life on the Honor View 10? My wife has the Honor 10 and its great, but I prefer the look and ram of the View 10 more.

You can indeed and to be fair from what I've seen and used of EMUI, it's really not bad and I can't see why it gets so much flack. Especially considering what touchwiz et al are like.

Great phone. Got mine at beginning of year. Camera not the best in low light but good enough in decent light. Mine went "laggy" for a couple of months then sorted itself out. Nearly got rid of the phone which would have been a shame as its being faultless otherwise and the "face" or "fingerprint" open features are lightening quick. Display is also spot on. Apart from the camera side of the phone it contends well with the wifes S8. Must have is certainly a case......the phone is stunning but without a case or at least a cover on the back it would only be a matter of time before it slipped out the hand or slid off anything other than completely flat:) Also worth mentioning I'm on Voda and have to manually input data/message settings when phone updates.

Cracked it at last. Yes it does get 4g on both slots by switching over which is done on the handset. It is amazing though that I had such difficulty because of complicated instructions from something simple but more importantly given wrong information by people in the industry. Thanks to all of you who offered their help.

thanks MrsSwitch, The screen size means reduced pixel density, and tbh I think the larger device is maybe not for me - so if that's the real difference I'm thinking I'll tend toward the 10. Never had a notch, and I agree it's something tha tmay bug me, but I hear it can be blanked off in software?

A lot of people in my previous 10 thread said the 10 was better than this.. I would personally go for this over the 10, as the 10 has a notch that bothers me, and this has a bigger screen. Which I prefer.

Is this worth the extra over the honor 10? Looking at both, and to my untrained eye the cheaper 10 actually seems better?

Thanks :)

Yeah, most definitely. The free accessory kit at appliances is nice, but you can't beat the customer service of amazon.

Arrived today and I'm very pleased with it so far. In perfect condition, unlike the 'As New' one I'm about to return to Amazon.

Really really good phone. Got it in the John Lewis £160 deal a few months ago but still a fantastic phone for this price. :) :)

I know! Does my head in when people say ' what about this one?'. Well, it just happens to be the size of a box of Weetabix I want a phone in my pocket, not a tablet!! And relax.... :D

Looks great with the little widger notch camera on the front

Band 20 is stil the major frequency for o2/Voda. o2’s Band 40 is more of an additional frequency aggregator for capacity as it’s downlink only unpaired TDD use (primary bands are up/down paired FDD). You’ll have a terrible 4G experience without band 20 on o2 and Voda, also the Honor phones are Supervoice capable on Three so you’ll have an inferior service on Three compared to using the same phone with band 20 capability.

God I hate Notch Screens, all my many icons are jostling for position and need a full row. (fierce)

Aren't Huawei being kicked out of Australia and New Zealand due to privacy isuues?

Yep I think their network tab lists which bands/frequencies UK mobile networks use, not which bands a specific phone supports.

I see your point. Eglobal have listed the network tab in a way that could be misleading. Maybe give this one a miss...shame because I like the red

You could be correct but Band 20 (800mhz) isn't listed under 4G Network, under specifications.

The description suggests it does support band 20

Just be aware this is the Chinese variant of the Honor Play (TL00), so no band 20.

May be if use to someone, in acceptable condition, but will do as a decent backup,

in retail you wonder what people do with goods in the short time they have them. the amount of items people have tried to return over the years without packaging or destroyed packing <2 weeks is shocking at the least. just looking at phones on ebay that are allegedly a week or two old, are cracked or scratched to hell. for amazon to resell stock that is at the lowest grading chart makes me wonder if they were damaged in delivery and Amazon still sells them or they are customer return under the 30 days refund policy

No probs

I'm bad sorry mate

In acceptable condition, you'd think not.

There's alot of appeal by the flashy colourful look but in reality for me at least, it doesn't matter as I only look at the front most the time and rarely flip it over to look at the pretty back. Went for the phantom green*(although my heart was in blue during the JL £219 sale, good phone. But what I cant seem to get past me was the obnoxious behaviour of alot of members who tried buying 10 handsets to flog on ebay, so for anyone having a hard time to sell I'm glad.

Good of you to point out. I'm loving Android Auto these days!

Thanks - I thought as much. The £20 pound difference on ebuyer between the A2 lite and Note 5 guess that's what the camera quality pays for. Once again, much appreciated :)

I'd get the note 5 personally out of the three, the bigger screen appeals to me. The camera on it is quite comparable to the flagship mix 2s, albeit missing a couple of things, but that would be my choice

I think they probably said it was a misprice after selling more than they probably had. If I recall the prices for both were live near enough at exactly the same time and ended at the same time. I don't think either were price matching, probably some deal they had off honor

They were matching JL or the other way round. People had orders cancelled on JL saying it was misprice.

Don't think it was a misprice. JL had a similar sale with the Honor 9 when it was sold for £159 (£100 discount) for two days running in June this year. Also, with the Honor 10, they ran OOS in the morning then sold it again for the same price in the evening but with a limit of 2 per order. They knew what they were doing.

If JL price match this that'd be worth some heat!

They matched the JL price as they often do
