Worth comparing elsewhere to Amazon if prices are similar as they have the exclusive on the 128gb storage option whereas most others will sell the 256gb model. You can get the 256gb for 99p less than this currently at Very for example. (edited)

sorted by- Great specs fo the money but somewhat suspect build quality esp with the track pad?!
chromeunboxed.com/asu…ew/Eww ChromeUnboxed - I think it's important to point out that (according to ASUS) this might not be an IPS panel but a basic TN one, which is a disappointment when everything else is great value and ample performance on this product.

Think is right, see thread below about Chromebook Plus. Unlike ASUS not to explicitly specify though. (edited)It's an IPS display. It's one of the requirements of being a Chromebook Plus. - Shame about the UFS storage good deal otherwiseReally doesn’t matter on a Chromebook, it could run on eMMC and you wouldn’t notice. Rarely need to use the internal storage anyway.
- AuthorNote: be careful with the review that I linked in the op, I just realised that the photo is incorrect, this Chromebook only opens to 180°
- I really wish they did this model with a touchscreen as other than that it's the spec I want.
Still trying to find a 2nd Chromebook for my household after buying a Lenovo pentium gold CPU 128gb one that has touchscreen nearly 2 years ago for £249. (edited)They do have flip versions of the similar chassis of this but they're more money. You often can find touchscreen Chromebooks under this price if you are prepared to look and possibly choose used/refurb - I got a Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5 Chrome 14IAU7 from Currys Clearance in grade C condition for £175 two weeks ago, it was basically brand new (2 battery charges) other than two scratches underneath, similar spec to this with a metal lid, touchscreen and 360 hinge. - i never got to knwo much about chrome books apart from it running the chrome OS and uses cloudapps.
what else is a chrome book good for? roblox? It’s mostly an internet-based computer and can run some apps, with more allowing for Android apps now. They are often cheap enough to be able to buy a used older one to try out. You quickly learn that 80-90% of what most people do on a computer can be done on a Chromebook, they’re also super fast and efficient. They can do Roblox but I heard it doesn’t run well or the experience is poor (friend who has kids who play it) but I can’t verify that.
