I'm not in the market for a gaming laptop but just some observations :
    - 8Gb Ram (nowadays you need 16GB and personally I think 32GB is becoming optimal). If you factor in the cost of the Ram upgrade, that might open the gates towards other models.
    - 2.8Kg , a gaming laptop with a dedicated graphics card is to be expected to be bulkyer and heavier
    - battery, I haven't researched but I would expect it lasts about 4h
    - 6GB Vram on the graphics card is very low, and this is a lower power card of course . So don't expect to be able to play new AAA games at more than Low settings.

For the price - I think it's a decent spec, I'm just pointing out the "obvious" and things to consider when buying it. (edited)

Fair points, but 6GB VRAM is pretty standard for laptops now isn't it? You get some 8GB VRAM ones, but they're the really high end £1000+ laptops ...

For the price is excellent value don't know why people expect everything at this price this the same price as i5 laptop without a graphics card at 599 it's bargain, you can upgrade the ram if needed

£525 got me something much better late last year. An Ideapad Gaming 3 with a 165hz (non garbage 100% sRGB) display, an 85W 3050 Ti, i5-12500H, twice the ram, and a 512GB SSD. It also weighed a little less than a hippopotamus compared to this laptop which weighs about the same as one. (edited)

Wouldn’t buy a 8GB gaming laptop regardless of how good a deal. Most gaming laptops require you to basically destroy it in order to open, not something you want to be doing with a brand new device.

Agree about the need for more memory, but it doesn't look too tough a process, presuming this is the correct model:

Come on guys 4070 was £800 few days ago why is this getting so much heat?
    scorpionsean's avatar
    Because 600 is 600 and 800 is 800. What's your point?

Criminal to sell any gaming laptop with 8GB RAM.

Single stick of ram is the deal breaker for me
    jcmaton97's avatar
You can add another 8GB for £22

If this is good value (I have no idea TBH), looks like configured memory is 1x8GB so adding another (1x8GB, DDR5, 4800MHz Memory) for £20-£30 looks low risk.

    It's not a good value

I got an earlier model (11th gen I think) with the 3050. I've since upgraded the RAM to 16GB and put a 1TB NVME and its great for my needs (mostly destiny 2 and some programming). The only thing that annoys me is that the power socket has a manufacturing or design fault (I have tried a new official power lead but to no avail). The power socket dosnt securely hold the plug and as such the cable falls out very easily.
I managed to find a 3 printed bracket to hold the cable in place and that resolved the issue, but that shouldnt be necessary.
They may have fixed this issue in subsequent years
