Ryan air should pay us to use their flights! Cold

People are so entitled they think cheap flight are a right and not a privilege, Ryanair is the reason flying is so cheap in Europe and you should probably be thanking them for that. If you expect a 5* luxury service and or can't keep to basic rules, it sounds like a you problem. The only other alternatives are to take the train at 5x the price to Paris or charter a private jet. The general population will mostly always choose the cheepiest option available, even when given the choice people will happily spend half as much to fly with Ryanair & EasyJet over the legacy carriers.

I have to ask what makes you think Ryanair is so much worse than the likes of BA? The legacy carriers have really had to cut corners and lower their prices to compete, so there are no "premium" options now for traveling around Europe.

Ryanair has its place, people just love to moan.
If you're flexible with times and travel light you can get some real bargains. Sometimes the airports are a bit further from the town centre but in general they offer a great service. Nobody was ever forced to use them or pay for the extras. If you don't like their policies find an alternative.

Well said. I've used them when prices are good and never had a problem.

Absolute nonsense! Says £14.99 until you look and the flights are approx £50 each way.

    Absolute nonsense?
Have you even read the post?
It says FROM £14.99 and as per the example date given that's exactly what the fare is on those and some other dates.

Horrendous airline. Always late. Waiting on buses for ages, extremely uncomfortable seats, lack of room, gates miles away from airport. Rather spend extra £20 go with a decent airline

    Do that then (edited)

Ryanair is fine until you encounter their customer service. Had a business trip to Dublin and thought driving licence was fine as ID rather than passport. My bad obviously but what I did not expect was for Ryanair to allow me to take the morning flight out and then refuse to take me home on the return.
    jaffamuffin's avatar
You didnt think you need a passport to go to another countrry?

Checked last night for a short trip in a few days to Europe. £300 return. Crazy. Not a budget airline anymore.

You do realise it's Easter and everyone wants to go on holiday right? Or do you not understand how supply and demand works?

Taxi 20 miles to the airport costs more than 3600 miles return trip.

    But lets complain
    peakbear's avatar
That is why you pick airports with good and cheap access to where you want to go.

I use them, they get you to your destination as reliably as any other airline in my experience.

I take the luggage allowed for my ticket, never had an issue.

I’ve flown short haul with British Airways and thought the service no better, worse in fact as I expected to get a free drink and snack, which I didn’t
    Little_Casper's avatar
I was under the assumption BA contracts out some of it's short haul services, I know AA in the US do the same thing but they get subsidised by the government to serve remote areas.

And here is a perfect example of people moaning. Blaming Ryanair and their customer service because they didn't have the correct travel document.
    Amadan's avatar
If you read my post I blamed myself for not having the document. I was blaming ryanair for waiving their rules and allowing me to fly out but then refuse to take me home.

Went to Lanzarote in December £15 !… one way (back with jet 2 at £44 !)
  14. MrBoydee's avatar
Where we’re going we won’t need Rhodes
  15. superbob2000's avatar
They are basically running a cheap bus service in the sky, if you don't like that and want a more premium service other airlines will gladly take your money.
  16. MikeVuong's avatar
Went to Marrakech and back 60 quid can't knocked them dearer to get taxi to airport lol
  17. Zaf_Rashid's avatar
£30 to fly to Africa ..regardless of service.. ryanair opened doors
  18. david_han's avatar
the cheap flight company will try their best to charge you extra when you actual arrive airport, even you need a glass of water.
    plap's avatar
Ryanair probably pay the airport around £3.5 in fees per passenger so no wonder the airport tries to squeeze every single penny out of you. Infrastructure, security, staff etc. cost a ton

Good deal. Best if you have flexibility when you go and no set destination. Went to Marseille last Sept with RA . £40 rtn.

I looked at some flights yesterday, checking back today they’re circa £50pp more expensive 🤷‍♂️

I can see lots of flights between Manc and Rhodes in April for 14.99 each way.

It’s very fashionable to hate on Ryanair apparently.

Just paid £158 for Ryanair flights to Lanzarote only 4 nights.

I don't think I've ever got a Ryanair ticket for less than £100 return (no bags or extras) but everyone acts like their flights are £10 each
