Is there any point getting this if I don't want to play online? (edited)

The story mode is good, but it's not very long. A few hours probably. There isn't much other offline content apart from arcade mode and character episodes. I'd wait for a price drop if you're adamant about offline only. But it's fun to dip into online every now and then 🏽

I gave the demo a shot, and seriously, why did they opt for those Mii-like avatars? It's like they raided a closet of rejected Nintendo characters. If they were going to use avatars, they should've at least let us design something that doesn't scream "I'm lost in the wrong game!" I mean, come on, give us fighters, not confused cosplay rejects. Absolutely loathed it!

That seems like a good deal! Shame the Xbox version isn't the same price.

Tekken 3 was the zenith, all downhill from then . Tekken 5 came close to replicating the fun of 3 but thats about it. Why cant we have the original PS1 trilogy remastered? Or at least the original and superior Arcade Namco system 11/12 versions

I'm more of a Street Fighter/Mortal Kombat kind of guy, but Tekken 8 really impressed me. Well worth this price.

Guess the inclusion of a battle pass knocked sales

It pissed a lot of people off. Imagine buying a £100 ultimate edition just for them to introduce a shop + battle passes lol

£35 isn't too bad. Don't forget that not only do they have seasonal DLC, they now have Battle Passes which is a paywall

What do the battle passes give you? Costumes?

Not worth getting atm, recent patch broke everything. I couldn't recommend this in its current state.
