Although I like Grohe stuff and have all the bathroom accessories, taps, shower flexi-pipes, I was put off by this being plastic. I can see why it is plastic (in case it's dropped in the toilet, bath etc), but I prefer my trigger spray to be a bit more robust.

I ended up with an all metal (chromed/brass):

I found it to be that good, I bought another when I recently fitted out the downstairs cloakroom.

It even survived when the local water authority water mains regulator failed last year which caused mine and all the neighbours water pressure to more than triple. It even burst a shared main underground behind the houses (must have been a weak spot).

Knew something was wrong with the water pressure before it was made public as it was that high, that the flexi shower hose in the bathroom was solid and was harder than normal to press the trigger but when you did, it was like a pressure washer. 😳

Anyhoo, the Ibergrif M20283 Handheld Sprayer Head mentioned above never leaked and hasn't since bought Jan 2023.

Although a rare event, not sure how a plastic bodied sprayer would have stood up to such an increase in water pressure. (edited)

Got this last week. It is okay but the water drips from the nozzle after using it. solution is to empty it before putting it on the stand.

Do you mean but the water drips or Butt the water drips.

What is the obsession of having a spotlessly clean ring these days? Does it really matter?

accidentally broke my metal one the other week trying to take the head off with the intention of clearing the scale off it - I think I spring might have pinged off into the bog so the lever came loose There was no way I was putting my hand in to retrieve it. I paid about this in 2019 with the connectors and hose etc, and other than the limescale it was going great

    Hopefully they're a standard socket

One thing to bear in mind though - our toilet seats arent really designed for bidet guns!!! Learnt that the hard way......be careful if your seat has rubber pads that raise it up from the main toilet.....else water squirts all round the back if not super careful - luckily I found a one that is flat (though could do with one with opening at the front for easier reachthrough

I wet the toilet paper under the bathroom tap before wiping. My ring is spotless.

That is the case for all of them.
Had many and it's just left over water

These never stay leak free as it’s always under some pressure even if you isolate it. You need to release the pressure first but still you forget

A whopping 8% discount (according to Amazon) - how is this over 100 degrees?
  14. rayanwarn's avatar
Yes these are crap, i bought a stainless steel one from local plumbers merchants and its been leak free for 2+ years.

which one did you get/from where?

Funny this came up when my one started to leak. Though my one only started to leak after a couple years, so wasn't that bad, plus it was metal. Not sure i want to get plastic.

    Absolute rubbish plastic

So is this a “bum gun” as they called it in Turkey when I was there? Brilliant idea but in this country in winter it’s not half going to wake up up first thing in the morning
  18. FoxRaynard's avatar
So. It's not a garlic press?
