    Yeah different game codes on the Playstation store so saves, DLC etc will be incompatible between UK and Japanese versions.

    No you don't need one , the easiest way to do it is from your ps5 , turn on the console and make a new account, after it's done you can redeem your code on the Japanese psn install the game and you can play it from your main account , I bought the code a week ago for £5.8 with and already finished the game playing from my main UK account (edited)

    This sounds good, so the steps are:
    1. Create a Japan PlayStation account (either on PC/phone or even PS5?).
    2. Buy the game code from link in OP.
    3. Login on PlayStation Japan account (is this on PS5 or the official website?) and redeem the code.
    4. Download the game.

    Can you then play this only when you're logged in as your Japan account? I don't quite understand how that and multiple accounts works, sorry. The OP says main account so after downloading the game do you need to log out and back in as main account and then play?

    Do what you've written above and keep the Japan account and then you just keep the Japan account on your ps5 and switch to main account and play

    Have they said one way or another if they are doing DLC for this game?

    I imagine trying to get EU DLC to work on a Japanese game is a non-starter

    Edit: I’ve since googled it and it looks like the DLCs are planned to be free so should be redeemable off the Japanese PS store. (edited)

    No they haven't said and no it wont work.

    Best way to see if DLC will work is if you go onto Playstation Store on a web browser and go to the Japanese store search for the game. The URL has a game code in it. You can either change the URL to be en-gb instead of the Japenese version and if it goes to the UK game on the store its all good. If not then it doesn't work. Or you can compare the game codes to the 2 stores. Either way the game codes are different so DLC, Trophies, Saves etc are incompatible.

    For example Turkey Store games are pretty much all compatible, there may be the odd one that isn't. But with that you can freely buy DLC for UK games and vice versa. I have UK based games and Turkish DLC that work all ok. (edited)

    Seems like a % of buyers here have been getting used codes..
