Some things are just worth buying brand new

Agree, if you're buying one of these, you're building a £1200+ gaming pc... Why scrimp on £20 on the one componenet that has the ability to take out absolutely everything if it goes up in smoke?

Been at these prices for ages. Refurbished simply not worth it for the years you lose in warranty.

Bought it last time the deal came up. No fan noise issues that some have reported. It replaced a 15 year-old Seasonic that I was starting to worry about the age of. I was all happy to have the PCIe 12+4 pin feed and then realised that the RTX30x0 FE power feed isn't ATX 3.0 standard like the 40x0 ones are. So still using an adapter. I'm not concerned about the warranty period - I don't want to claim the warranty on my PSU! If it's built properly, it should last 10+ years refurbished (likely returned nearly-new in box) or not.

Just as an fyi, I bought the 1000x refurb and it's been fine in a 7800x3d/4090 rig.

not worth it though for such an expensive rig, saved a few ££ when spending 1000s of pounds on the entire pc, but as usual each to there own (edited)
