When TV dinners first appeared in the US, they were a hit, but after awhile people started to complain that they weren't the same and that the recipes must have been changed, much to the perplexity of the makers, who hadn't changed a thing. People had just gotten bored with the same old, same old, so they introduced variation into the recipes to convince people that they were still "the same".

Anyone know any more about the conspiracy theory/maybe not conspiracy theory that the meat quality in Felix has sharply decreased and the complaints that some people have had that it’s responsible for making their cats really ill, dead in some cases? It’s the kind of thing I take with a pinch of salt but I wondered if anyone had seen a good scientific rebuttal that would give me a bit less hesitancy when buying.
