About this deal

Bank holiday deal by the looks of it. Asked Currys to price match and they wouldn’t as it’s a “reseller”.

    Good deal, heat added… but…

I upgraded to this on launch. Had to send first headset back as it just would not connect. Second headset connects most of the time but does drop off and require a complete system reboot to reconnect. Happens in maybe 1 out of 5 sessions. Sound quality is excellent but connectivity isn’t as good as the standard Pulse 3D.

I've not had that problem, thankfully. I only use mine on my Portal, they're okay. Not worth the money imo. They feel so cheap and fragile, the sound is okay but hasn't blown me away either.

If I didn't need the BS proprietary Link to have wireless headphones on the Portal these would have gone back.

How's this compare to the Steelseries Arctis 7p?

I returned my Sony Pulse 3D as I didn't find the fit of the Sony as comfortable as my Steel series Arctis 7p.
I didn't think the sound was as good either.
Each to thier own, but these weren't for me.(I do have a smaller head than the average female gamer so that may make a difference, I found more adjustments and comfort on the Steel series).

How are the ear cups versus the standard Pulse headset? I'm starting to find the OG headset uncomfortable

They're comfortable. However they're made out of a strange material. If the move slightly on your head they make a strange squeeking sound
