If you go to one of the Nusa islands highly suggest doing the Manta Ray Scuba/Snorkelling trip.
Some times:
- Use an E-Sim (I used Airalo, if you want I can give you my referral code will give us both some credit) (I got one for the stp over airport as we were there for a while as well)
- Use Grab, same as Uber here (some areas you will have issues with getting a taxi due to local taxi mafia you over charge, just speak with your grab driver and arrange to meet them at a location to pick you up)
- Klook app - to book things like the ferry etc
- Wise card/any travel card really
It is amazing there though and am already planning our next trip.
If you can do your visas etc online as the queue in the airport is long otherwise.
Edit:
We had ice in nearly every location as well and seemed to survive and did not contract Bali Belly.
Also to access reddit for sometimes I needed to use a VPN but thankfully had a few on my phone already. (edited)
Correct me im wrong or better give me official link to read up please?
Many thanks 🙏
And from my looking online now there is no law banning it, international spirits are pricey and wine is insanely expensive but did not have any issues getting a nice cold beer anywhere in Ubud, Uluwatu, Sanur, Nusa Islandsi.
It is worth noting that Bali is not as heavily influenced by Islam as some of the other parts and only something like 10% of the island is Muslim.
