    So what's your suggestion. Even diamond locks can be sawn or picked (like anyone actually does that). You still need to use something, and this is better than a £2 lock you can cut with scissors.

    I know Masterlock is a bit of a joke thanks to the Lock Picking Lawyer, but this is Sold Secure Gold, so should be acceptable to insurers for all but the most expensive bikes. Disc detainer and double locking shackle are both good features. 13mm isn't the biggest diameter but will still take a minute or two to get through with an angle grinder I expect. Personally I use a 16mm shackle and sold secure diamond, but that means a lot of weight.

    Indeed, but only for insurance purposes. All locks are, of course, weak.
