Is it just me, or might there be someone else out there who has loads of these things, accumulated over the years, yet has absolutely zero recollection of how I came into possession of any of them.

When I'm hunting for one of these fittings, there are none to be found.

But at other times I see the bucket of the damn things overflowing and think that I must offer them out on Freecycle/Freegle.

They are like the Twilight Zone of fittings!

I have around a dozen of these things bizarrely sitting on a window cill outside near my hose pipe and I never have the right one when needed so end of buying another pack of 4

These Lovehoney toys get weirder by the minute!

These are decent quality, much better than plastic which goes brittle after a few years left lying in the garden as mine do! (edited)

These brass connectors keep leaking, I’ll rather stick to cheap B&q plastic connectors and change them every couple of years

I've just spent a good 10minutes cleaning out one of these connectors of rust, the connecting bearings inside seem to seize up and need a bit of oil to lubricate and free up.

They also connect less securely, quite loose hold although minimal to no leaking.

Would recommend a good quality plastic one instead

Brass doesn't rust, so that's impossible

This anygood for connecting an outside tap to a garden nose? I currently have a plastic one which looks similar although slightly different to the connector on the right. It keeps leaking so I can’t leave the tap turned on.

    Yes....

We've had numerous plastic ones, ALWAYS fail after a season, so we just swapped to these - it's an odd feeling to have zero drips !

Also, bad idea having the tap on when not in use... The hose in hot weather will balloon under the pressure. (edited)

This or a plastic one? Live in a soft water area. Also when screwing the tap connector on is it lefty loosey righty tighty or other way round? Been years since I did one!

Random question on hosepipes/connectors - Anyone know if it's possible to connect a hose lock type fixing to a speed fit type of connector?
