One cup tea bags are so lacking in leaves that it hardly turns water into a tea colour. Cold added.

samspud

Nationwide I reckon. Also in exmouth

OwlEye

Far better to get lidl gold tea if going in by tomorrow, 47p for 80 bags of good stuff.

OwlEye

They have half the tea in as nornal tea bags. Extremely weak. All "one cup" brands are the same.

a1

Don’t like one cup teabags, not enough leaves in for a mug of tea, its far too weak no matter how long it stews .

The authors of this scientific paper weren’t even able to calculate the dose of caffeine they were giving to the participants. A really poor study, and irrelevant to this deal- unless you are an American, clinically obese, black pensioner.

Apparently, you can drink any old tea or coffee and sleep soundly https://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/health-and-families/coffee-before-sleep-time-caffeine-tea-quality-study-a9044681.html

Can't see the point of decaf tea one of the reasons I drink it is for the caffeine help me wake up an stay awake

kobirulali

These are my favourite tea bags! You don't get the slight bitter after taste and can even have these late at night without fear of caffeine keeping you awake!

None in Newry.

blabbity

How odd. You’d think these kind of drinks would be in high demand with the weather getting warmer. Or is it just me that leans more towards fruity teas, as opposed to milky black tea, when it gets warmer?

The Tesco Red Label is pretty good, bought it when the shelves were empty (not so long ago!) and was impressed. 99 Tea is a bit of an old-school legend - my nana, rest her soul, bought that for decades. If you want really tasty tea, go for loose tea, it's much nicer.

Just buy the own brand! https://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-7112543/Tescos-1-10-tea-rates-better-blind-taste-test-costs-half-Tetleys.html Watched a program once that said all you are buying is consistency and that if you add milk it doesn't taste much different between brands.

Exactly the same blend of tea as normal bags and the same weight per bag - they did at one time they did produce one cup tea bags which were smaller but i think these have been discontinued

spinynorman

Great deal 1.8p a bag- normally 2p.

Ben_ReynoldsQtN

Thanks, best price I've seen for a while especially with the covid price hikes

Bigdiv

Bought 2 'sacks' from Viking a few weeks ago. Nice Tea but I'm having to let it brew for longer than I usually do. Maybe a lower bag content, I'm not sure...

barkerisonfire

Can anyone comment on the quality of these big bags of Yorkshire? Just seen some comments of then not being the same quality as the boxes you normally get. But I don't think it could be any worse than Tetley...

4 boxes of 240

soldierboy001

But you inferred that they lowered the weight making them inferior. 0.2 0g a gram is 0ne 3,500 th of a box of tea, great reduction that ruins the brew. The blend is different for every batch made up by the tea taster to match a given taste every time, and who was getting over excited giving facts?

getmore4less

Another typhoo 1p a bag here I usually keep around a years worth picking up any offer in bulk. Also if I spot a brand on RFQS under 1p I will grab those last couple of boxes have been the 240-4-£150 which is close enough to keep stock levels up. problem is since lockdown the consumption has gone up a lot, more than double and need to stock up again soon. One problem with the typhoo bags is they don't compost PG say theirs do so might give them a try. With all brands avoid the one cup versions.

pureamz003

You need 2 bags for a one good cuppa. That's why its cheap.

exel1966

Calm day LittleBoy, you'll give yourself a coronary getting so excited ! Firstly I never said Typhoo and PG aren't identical weights, try reading what I said ;-) Secondly PG tips reduced the amount of tea in individual bags by 0.2g. FACT The tea blend previosuly available is no longer available, so yes it has changed to a weaker one. So don't come here with your false tales PGBoy (lol)
