I just appreciate that my opinion on whether its nice doesn't have any bearing on whether its a good deal. Just checked the reviews on Amazon but a comment under one of the "rusty" reviews says that they were designed to impart a little rust/iron flavour into the tea. Looking it up the first link on google is the.republicoftea.com/lib…ns/ which also 2nds this comment that "[some] connoisseurs actually prefer the taste of tea from a rusted iron teapot!". But also includes care instructions.

How to care (gist): Do not use soap/oils, simply clean with water and allow to fully dry. Fill with tea and allow to soak, this will produce a protective layer preventing further rust.

I still maintain that two layers of aluminium sandwiched together will be no better off than one plastic and one aluminium layer, of a similar thickness, sandwiched together.
