Do they record 24/7? Or only movement detection ? Thanks

Movement only, the clip lengths can be changed but 30s intervals is the maximum and once movement is detected they won't record again for 10s.

As said they are a cheap and easy way to get something but 24/7 they definetly aren't.

Look up subscription prices if you want to record to the cloud.

Someone mentioned issues with virgin before? I have the hub 5

Do the virgin routers not have issues with almost every device on the planet. It certainly seems that way. The virgin router is usually the issue, not the device connected to it (edited)

Anyone know what the vertical and horizontal range is for these ? For example, if you stick one under the eaves of a single storey extension, how close to the wall would they capture ?

Non of the wall, the mount that comes with them doesn't allow that much flexibility, so you'd have to buy a 3rd party mount.

For instance I have one above the front door on a standard mount and it catches the very last few inches of the second paving slab.

At these prices it makes you wonder if a new system is coming out soon. This is a very cheap way into home monitoring. Had mine 3 years.

This is a fairly standard reduction since these were released. They are this price every few months, along with just about every other Amazon product (edited)

to save on costs, black plastic is cheaper to produce.

I have this set sat in a drawer somewhere (never got around to using it)......I'm pretty sure the hub takes a USB memory card for non-cloud storage.

Only for motion detection now. You used to be able to save live view clips but they stripped this back and made it a premium feature. Renders the entire system useless for me. Rather switch brand than pay £80 a year for something that used to be free

Do they work with google home? How good is the night vision?

I've not got them to work with Google Home as of yet, however it does work with Amazon's Alexa. (edited)

We have 3 of these and they dont seem to work after being put away for a few months. Can't seem to connect it successfully to the network no matter what I try. Is this common with these?

Speak with their customer service. When I had problems recording to USB, they were really good addressing my issue.
In my case, it was my virgin guest network that was causing the issue. (edited)
