The fifteenth studio album by Prince, originally released in August 1994. The album's overall mood is dark, but the musical expressions are manifoldy. 'Loose!' is an acid house pop song, 'Dark' is old school soul, and 'Solo' is simply amazing: Prince and a harp. Also noteworthy is 'Papa', a family abuse-themed track similar to the outrageous 'Sister' from Dirty Mind.

Fantastic album and a great price too

good price. i think i paid about twice this much when the reissue came out recently

the vault OFFS was reduce the other day to £25 on vinyl, was £28 prerelease then went up to £32ish

for you was reduced to a similar price the other day too

and the cd of DP boxset was reduced to £99 or so, about £60 off

all on amazon uk

This is the album where Prince lost me. Can remember being so disappointed when I first bought it. So bad.

I'd kinda agree, Diamonds and Pearls was hit and miss for me. And the Sexy MF period was a big no no for me. I bought Musicolog (2004), it was Ok and more recently Art Official Age (2014). But during those years there have been some real gems...

Fury is a great track I think, also really like this.
