Copper Rivet Distillery Son of a Gun Kentish Aged Spirit 47.4% ABV 50cl

Lowest this has been on Amazon for two years! Made at the Copper Rivet Distillery located near to the Historic Dockyard in Chatham. Uses local grain sourced from North Kent from within 20 miles of the Distillery so is a Grain to Glass Distillery. Distilled in a custom still which they built themselves.Aged for a brief period in what seemed to be Heaven Hill ex-Bourbon casks(when I visited I had a look). The Mashbill is Wheat,Barley and Rye.

I did the Distillery Tour and the tasting and I found this spirit pleasant and quite drinkable.

Just like the ships built at Chatham; Son of a Gun is innovative and carefully engineered. With locally farmed wheat, barley and rye grown specially for it and carefully chosen American white casks. It is distilled once in our traditional pot still, then a second time through 40 copper plates in our unique 10-meter-tall column still then aged in the casks for 2 months.
