I’m quite impressed by the quality of a lot of the food produce they stock, both fresh and frozen. Their fruit is always top notch, same with some of their prepared meals and frozen ranges. Much better quality than the standard supermarket equivalent. Petrol also very reasonable. It’s not always about buying the cheapest and usually inferior stuff.

Bought 2 Silentnight beds from them in the last year. Also their towels and bedding are very good quality.

Plenty of other places around to buy cheap tat

The Kirkland chicken nuggets and chicken strips are really good. Like you say, probably a bit more expensive than similar products from supermarkets but a lot better quality.

Not trying to turn it into a Costco bashing thread but this will be my last year of membership i think.it still has some good stuff you cant get elsewhere and some reasonable prices but its not worth the drive, membership fee etc. You can get 24 cans of pop cheaper at the supermarkets or amazon these days or you can get pretty decent real chicken nuggets from Iceland. But i will be trying those coconut shrimp before i leave lol. Oh an the food court and pizzas are always pretty decent

The discount offers have become distinctly underwhelming since Covid, very few food related offers now, and not seen a Cushelle toilet roll offer in months if not years now.

Costco/Makro used to be the place for really good deals.....now they're not.
    A77's avatar
Forgot all about Makro.....they still going I take it? Agree that in the 90s and 00s, Makro was the go too for great deals.

The protein for £31 seems like a cracking price, for MyProtein anyway. I'll be picking some of that up
    desi_lad's avatar
mate, I have never used whey protein. I do regular 1hr moderate gym. How much and how often one should take it. Thanks

I just got mine in the post, I wish they'd stop sending me it to be honest. Waste of paper. I've asked twice at Customer Service to cancel it.

The MagSafe Belkin stand is a really good deal. I paid over £100 through my employee discount scheme. Use it every day no complaints and looks amazing on bed side table.

The iPad Pro 12.9 M1 512gb for under £800 is really good too. Bearing in mind the M2 128gb is £1250!
    gooner786's avatar
Or you could pay £15 and get one that looks good and does the same job from Ali Express
  15. barjami's avatar
And now seems to be targeting Exec members for the offers,
    A77's avatar
Yup - they were trying all sorts to convince me that I would be better off....given my spend has reduced in line with their diminishing ranges and prices....I couldnt justify.

    Thanks Op.

How do you get access to this?
I used to get emails a few days before the deals would change but now they seem to send them on the day the new deals start

I'm confused is the "Hillfarm Extra Virgin Cold Pressed Rapeseed Oil, 2L". Actually olive oil? Think they're trying to make it sound like it but is it better quality oil of some sort?
    jon81uk's avatar
As in the name it’s Rapeseed Oil. It’s just good quality vegetable oil.
