    Never had this bottle before but been on my radar. Anyone share their opinion on it? Good deal for an 18yo.

    Had 2 bottles. Neither lasted very long. Pretty much everything you would expect from this age of whisky. Classic bourbon cask taste, nice weight of flavour given the age, ABV, and non chill filtered.

    It says "Aged in second fill traditional oak whisky casks for a minimum of 16yrs and finished in first fill Bourbon casks for 2 years.". There's no virgin oak used.

    Lovely stuff this, tastes like butterscotch. The citrus flavours that are prominent in the 12 year old are much softer and all the fudge and cream come to the front. Despite all that it isn't particularly sweet compared to, say, a sherry cask. Might have to buy another at this price.

    Heat added, decided to take advantage of a reasonably priced 18 year old whisky. I didn't particularly get on with the 12 though. Can't judge a distillery on one whisky.

    Bought a few bottles in May 2002 @ £51.50/bottle & considered it a steal
    At £63.74 (above price with 15% S&S) it's still a bargain for an 18yo.
    It's a soft gentle flavour, not trying to punch above its weight. If you're into heavily sherried or peated malts then it may not be to your liking, however I'm rather fond of if it.. (edited)
