A Good price and makes you think.

Still a tough choice for me between this for AM4 or 7500f+Cheap B650/A620 for approximately the same price, granted you still need DDR5 RAM but it close enough to put me off the 5800x3D

Had a customer umming and arring over an X3D upgrade, deemed it not worthwhile as they also wanted to go to 32GB DDR5. Instead bought a B650M, 7800X3D and 32GB DDR5, for £485, an sold their X470, R7 3800X, 16GB DDR5 for £180 on FBM. Total upgrade cost was £305, so £25 more (inc RAM upgrade cost), but totally worth it, kept the AIO etc.

Think about the options you have careful with the 7800X3D being such a good price recently. (edited)

I bought this from Currys for £236. Price match and use reward vouchers if you can.

    What kind of reward vouchers?
Does it apply a discount or is it just a transfer of value?

    Great price and great CPU.

Will be using this for my daughter’s first PC build.

This has been flat out perfect in my current rig.

Been wondering lately games such as dragons dogma 2 being so cpu hungry.
    I'm currently running ryzen 5 3600, with 32gb ddr4 ram and a rtx3070ti
If I upgrade to this cpu or even the 5900, as they're the same AM4 chip I'm assuming it'd be a straight forward upgrade, is this going to give me significant performance increase to see me into 2025 at least or do i just hang in there with what I have and start planning a full upgrade to am5 or even am6 in the future
    Hate these dilemmas (edited)
