    Ummm....
low res screen (its called HD but i mean really! )
    8Gb ram
    256Gb Hd
    Used battery

This isn't a deal. Its a 4 year old laptop, with limited storage, memory, a screen that has a place in the early 2000's and a battery that will be well well used.

For litterally 150 more you can get a new machine, double the ram and HD and a decent screen res. Even at this price you can do miles better.

    Stone cold.

The laptops usefulness is totally dependent on the users needs.
Im using a 6 year old laptop and its fine for Photoshop for instance as well as eating through simple word processing and runs streamed films with ease.
£150 to some could be several weeks savings !

amazing what kind of laptop you can get for a shade over £200 these days even if it is a little dated and refurbed. perfect for so many tasks and as it's a latitude pretty repairable too

This is pretty decent - those H-series CPUs are quite a bit faster though this model will run a lot hotter than the U or G-series chips. Shame about the display but you can easily swap it or run an external monitor if it bothers you. That i7-10850H is a good buy as well.

What do you mean by "easily swap it"?

I think I'd prefer to hold out for a great deal on a laptop with a resolution I wanted than to buy something inadequate with a plan to cannibalise.

Try CEX. I agree though, the panel on this isn't great while most Dell laptops usually have the far superior 1080p IPS panels (most of the 5420/5320 and Latitude 7310/7410 onwards have them) but some people won't mind, would rather use a big reseller and may attach an external display anyway.

The PPI is about the same as an FHD screen at 15.6" but will keep a watch out for FHD refurbs.

It should be criminal to put such a screen in such a laptop

I couldn't agree with this any more if I tried..... HUKD needs a X Factor style golden button for "this comment is the law".

1366 x 768 in 2024..... omg..... I'll bet if you open the screen up it will be stamped Manufacture 2004-01-01.

Tough little machines! I have purchased a lot from them, and the condition has always been near perfect. That said, my last purchase had a battery sitting at 52% health, questioned it and they state anything above 50% is classed as acceptable, which isn't great :-/
    plewis00's avatar
52% is dreadful! Unless you’re happy with the rest of it or not running on battery much, I would probably have returned that. The last two I had from there for work were 84 and 86% battery health (BIOS states Excellent) on two grade A 7490s. What did you do?

Makes the Dell 3430 i7 with 16Gb RAM that was as new that I picked up for £180 seem an absolute steal. Ok it was a forum purchase but I was still able to register it with Dell for warranty purposes and has over 18 months warranty left. It even still had the cellophane protection still on it and battery was 100% health.

    Where from?

Heat just for including the screen size in the title

I have used a Dell Latitude at work years ago with the same screen resolution 1366 x 768. I wondered how stupid the procurement guy could be to purchase something with this resolution which was simply useless. I would say don't buy a laptop with less than 1920x1080 resolution.

What the delivery policy on these? Do they deliver the next working day?

I need a cheap second laptop for editing video, photos etc for YouTube.

I have a good monitor so not fussed about the screen.

It has to be a laptop though, not a tower.

    Thanks

I wonder if can play games on it
    Hurtnevada's avatar
I doubt it will play most modern games

I just received mine. It is in shocking cosmetic condition. Has anyone else had the same experience?
