    Once you factor time it’s not cheaper. Not by a long shot. Source: brewed beer for 8+ years. It has a habit of being quite a money sink especially if you get into it. These kits are ok but you will quickly find yourself moving to partial mash/biab which needs more and more equipment before you get to all grain brewing. I must have spent close to 10 grand on equipment over the years I was brewing. Also don’t expect this kit to be anywhere near as good as even the most basic of beers you can get in the supermarket.
