Unfortunately there's a big push on by the major brewers to force 'sessionable' beers on us (i.e. below 3.5% ABV), whether we want them or not. This is just one example.

Can't imagine why that might be...

Great price for sheer amount of "beer".

This is at a massive 3.4% ABV now and brewed in UK somewhere, good for those who want to session on something super light and with no concern of quality.

Awful stuff. I was a Carlsberg session drinker at 3.8% but at 3.4% I had to take my last pack back for a refund. I can't agree with your supporting their 'we're still looking for ways to improve our beer' hype OP, because this is certainly not a way; and if people didn't buy it at all then maybe they would return it to the 'drinkable' 3.8%.
