Yes - I have confirmation that my order is out for delivery in Scotland.
Yes I tried this and it tastes not bad.
Export is decent. That is another one that has been watered down from 5% to 4.8% but at least it still actually tastes good. Much better than watery Stella that's for sure. I tend to buy the 4 pack of pint sized cans of Export from Iceland. Usually work out about £1.25 a pint
Exactly. The Heineken organisation has bought up decent brands and ruined them , striving to achieve the 50p a can/bottle price point . Quality goes , cheap ingredients, lower abv ... but people lap it up at near 50p mark . Yellow fizzy water .
Good beer. Along with King Goblin on 4 for £6 in Morrisons. Works out same as the Aldi special McEwans I posted above.
New Aldi favourite. £1.49 and 7.3% Sod the snowflakes!
Stella claimed it was adapting to the new trends/demand of the younger (snowflake) generation by reducing the alcohol content of lager. We do follow behind USA whether we realise it or not.
Glad to read so many comments along my line of thinking of the past few months. I thought that I was the only one. Always bought Stella, Heineken and Kronenborg, over many years. It depended on which was the best value on the shelf. Bought some Stella just before Christmas and on drinking it thought WTF is that!! To my surprise I read 4.6 on the can and realised what had happened yet again to this brand. As stated above I was aware of the 5.2 down to 4.8 over the years and slight changes to taste. The change this time has me vowing never to buy it again. It's dropped into the group of lagers that I will never touch.....Tasteless. Hop House 13 is 4.6% and actually has a flavour. I checked duty on alcohol, and unless someone can show me otherwise, my Google search suggested that anything upto about 6% is charged the same duty. So why the constant drops in alcohol content and taste? You lost another customer here and I'm glad that I'm not the only one...let's hope that Heineken and Kronenborg don't go the same route for the UK market!!! Standard KB is 5.5% in France and tastes great.
Home Bargains for the PET Heineken, 79p....though I bought them at 39p, you can imagine how many I bought (lol) (lol) (lol) EJ is a long term favourite but If I drink more than a few it gives me a banging headache and ( according to t'wife) makes me fall asleep on the sofa (lol)
Get a can and compare... XD
I'll have to get around to the thought of not being at a football match from drinking from plastic :D . I'll have hunt the buggers out. That looks a nice drink mate, I'm back on the lager from a break from ales. Don't mind some IPA but some way too heavy in the citrus, pint of grapefruit love? Love a pint of Elvis juice mind, inject that into my veins.
My current drink.
Still forgot the 400ml PET bottles ;) (lol) 🍻

What one did you try as I had some becks and it tasted like stewed p&ss ?
When did you last try alcohol free lager? It used to be bowfing and I'd rather drink water than that p*ss. However I read on here a few months ago that they had greatly improved so decided to try them again. Thanks for the tip off whoever mentioned that as alcohol free is now my preferred option.
I agree that getting drunk may have been my reason when I was a teenager. Nowadays I have no interest in getting drunk. (Apologies if that blows the Scottish stereotype out of the water.) I buy it for the taste, knowing that I'm still safe to drive. Win, win.
In stock at the Longton branch, plenty left I didn't purchase any.
