Definitely needed if you live in the UK, don't have these issues of theft in the United Arab Emirates.

Wow things have dramatically increased in price. I purchased mine from Costco many many moons ago for about £50 (edited)

I have one of these for my car which uses a keyless entry and to start engine. One night I was checking my camera and saw someone checking doors on all the cars along the street. He saw my yellow steering lock and walked past my car without touching it. I admit it it big and cumbersome to use especially if you have a full car and you have to walk out and put it in the boot but at least it's a deterant to potential thieves. (edited)

Put this on my Fiat Panda. Someone cut the steering wheel off and stole it. Sadly still have the Panda.

My first car was a Datsun Sunny.
It was Burgandy, with a Burgandy "leather" interior.
I bought it for £100 off of my mate who lived 3 streets up from me.
I never had a licence at the time, so he gave me a big push, and I free wheeled it and steered it down to my parents house, where it sat for 18 months, until I got him to come and take it away again. (I'm sure he asked for £140 from me to do this! ). I miss the 80's (edited)

I use this on both my cars

I can't imagine being so paranoid about theft that you use this every time you drive anywhere. Long periods off-road I could kind of understand though.

I can imagine it if you'd just had a car stolen.

This has stopped my keyless focus being stolen at least twice from my CCTV. I've actually had the perfect example of what this does as 1 of the nights they looked at mine they also got away with my next door neighbours unsecured keyless fiesta.

If they want it they'll obviously always get it but this deterrent along with a signal blocker will put off the opportunists.

What happened? Did they get in your car?

These things are too heavy and cumbersome for everyday use. I used one for several years after a set of keys were stolen in a burglary - because I thought someone would come and drive car away. A few times the lock on the device jammed, but I did eventually manage to free it - and the number of times I banged the thing on my thighs taking it off. (edited)

I had similar problems when I bought this, having moved from my stoploc pro to this. However now, I’m used to using it. I store it in the passengerside footwell. Can take it off and put it on quickly. Point being for peace of mind, once you get used to it it’s totally worth it.

They won't be taking the car, they will take the cat, the headlights, the mirrors, the wheels

I see loads of Range Rovers with these in South London.

Depending on your steering wheel type, a Stoplock might be better. That’s what I went for as it was better reviewed and half the price of the disklok. A few YouTube videos also show how a disklok can be removed in 4 minutes without damaging the steering wheel. It’s next to impossible to get a stoplock off without sawing the steering wheel in two places, thus making the vehicle undrivable

I’ve never seen where a stoplock os better than this
See the deal on stoplock  on here
video on there they get the stoplock without cutting steering wheel
I have both but use stoplock most as it’s more convenient

I have this, but I expect the price to come down slightly more as they have the new diamond edition, which is a higher stretch rating, the price on that though is £250+ I would definitely go for if I had an expensive car that are being targeted. Most keyless cars are vulnerable but RR being targeted more due to exports and parts demand.
