I have a plain old ac001. It's really solid and well built. I can't count the number of times it's been banged, dropped, and flown off. Still works like new. Gets hot in use, but hey, it's not like you hold it. It's never rejected a memory card yet, and I've got some carp ones knocking about. It chews through batteries, but I've got three batteries, this comes with three batteries and there's only so long you can spend extreme ironing so it's not really an issue. Picture quality is outstanding. People are always surprised when they see what's been recorded shown on a big screen.
This, I would guess, like my earlier version comes with a whole bunch of features effects and modes for video. Personally, I've not much use for them, nor the live view on your phone thing.

Based on my experience with mine, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend these guys for an action cam. (Assuming the price is right that is!)

Also, don't cheap out on your chosen mount for your chosen sport/use. I'm sure my units longevity has something to do with that. You can get huge bags of various mounts for peanuts, some are very gimmicky, they're fine to play with, but do get a nice mount.
