You can only use it for 6 minutes in any hour, on full output. I get much, much better welds with a regular, even cheaper, stick welder than a cheap low power gasless one. Especially outdoors when there is even a gentle breeze blowing. The stick one needs no faffing about, like maintenance, or trying to get the feed mechanism to work. Just choose the rods (and you get a huge range to choose from), set the current and that's it.
It is necessary to store the rods properly - but then, with this one, you should take the reel out and store that properly, if you aren't planning to use it again sometime soon.

Wouldn't mind a gasless as I only use my pants Siegen MIG occasionally.
What's the quality of welds like?

Despite having a large quality gas mig unit I've had a gasless one for nearly 3 decades... And still use it now...

I'm looking for a stick welder too, not got a clue what to order. I want a decent duty cycle and need to keep it at 13A (no 16A supply available).
