About this deal

As Garmin Fenix hasn't changed much between version 6 and 7, this option seems to be still interesting...

PRODUCT FEATURES

  • SPORTS APPS - Use preloaded activity profiles for trail and track running, swimming, running, biking, hiking, rowing, skiing, golfing and more.
  • BACKCOUNTRY SKI INPUT - This profile can distinguish between skiing and climbing, then shows metrics specific to ascent or descent.
  • XC SKI DYNAMICS - When paired with the HRM-Pro™ chest strap (sold separately), the ski power metric helps measure the actual exercise load of cross-country workouts.
  • ANIMATED WORKOUTS - This watch features easy-to-follow, animated cardio, strength, yoga and Pilates workouts you can view on the watch screen. Choose from preloaded animated workouts, or download more from our Garmin Connect™ online community.
  • POWER MANAGER - View how various settings and sensors impact your watch’s battery life, so you can make battery-extending changes on the fly.
  • WRIST-BASED HEART RATE - Get heart rate data1 along with alerts if your heart rate stays too high or too low while you’re at rest. Gauge how hard your heart is working during activities, even underwater.
  • BODY BATTERY™ ENERGY MONITOR - Optimise your body’s energy reserves, using heart rate variability, stress, sleep and other data to gauge when you’re ready to be active or when you may need to rest.
  • PERFORMANCE METRICS - View advanced training metrics that include running dynamics1, heat- and altitude-adjusted VO2 max, recovery advisor and more.
  • RECOVERY TIME - After each workout, recovery time lets you know when you’ll be ready for another hard workout. It even accounts for training intensity and factors such as stress, daily activity and sleep.
  • DAILY WORKOUT SUGGESTIONS - For training guidance that takes you and your fitness level into account, get daily run and ride recommendations based on your current training load and training status.

  • TRAINING STATUS - Using new indicators such as HRV status, your recent exercise history and performance, get insight into your overall effort — and whether you’re training productively, peaking or strained.
  • CLIMBPRO FEATURE - Use ClimbPro ascent planner on downloaded courses to see real-time information on your current and upcoming climbs, including gradient, distance and elevation gain.
  • MULTI-GNSS SUPPORT - Access multiple global navigation satellite systems (GPS, GLONASS and Galileo) to track in more challenging environments than GPS alone.
  • ABC SENSORS - Navigate your next trail with ABC sensors, including an altimeter for elevation data, barometer to monitor weather and three-axis electronic compass.

Still a lot of money for a model that will soon be two iterations old.

Indeed, but before I bought Fenix 6 I checked articles about them. They literally exhausted all technologies for these models. Garmin doesn't offer anything amazing in new models... Correct me if I'm wrong

As much as I have a f6 sapphire and it’s great still I wouldn’t spend this much for a watch that is basically no longer getting any updates.

Are updates really a big deal? I've had a Venu since launch and had plenty of updates, however can't remember a single difference any of them made.. it's a watch

If anyone has ordered, can they confirm it comes with the titanium bracelet as shown? Because none of the information on the product page mentions this.

I believe this also comes with an orange silicone quickfit band in the box

Yeah - its a lovely watch, and certainly a premium is due to the materials used (sapphire screen, titanium body).... But I couldn't bring myself to buy a "new" smartwatch watch that is now 2 generations out of date.
You can get a Fenix 7 for less money than this - £363.99 from garmin via PerksAtWork or one of the many other schemes (albeit only a "standard" one) - which I think I'd be more included to opt for.
