About this deal
Decent price for this from the offical Fujifilm UK Store - has a a deeper grip than the XT series which makes it easier to hold with larger lenses. Fujifilm Refurbished products are in virtually brand new condition from my previous experience but come with a plain box.

sorted byAs this is all fresh in my mind here's my experience:
I did not like the EVF over real world view through an optical viewfinder on DSLR, but I've been using real viewfinders all of my life, so the off-colour, slightly delayed, blurred fast motion tendencies of EVFs is a weird experience. Some tweaking got it *closer* to the colour of reality, but the tweaking options are extremely limited.
Good points about having an EVF - focus peaking is superb. That is a feature I'm missing. Being able to compose and shoot in black and white through a viewfinder (I know my Nikon can show you B&W scenes if you shoot with LiveView on the screen, but I'm a viewfinder user!) was revelatory. Really enjoyed that.
Focus and response, hmm, bit slow for me, which was surprising (I was testing the X-T4 with a Fujifilm 35mm F1.4 lens). Lens was beautifully sharp with nice bokeh.
Be armed with a charger or spare battery. My Nikon D3500 is rated for around 1400 shots, the Fujifilm is rated for around 390 if memory serves me right. Thankfully you could charge it with a battery bank plugged straight into the camera if need be. If you were touristing around all day or shooting a long event, the battery will likely run out at some point. The Nikon's can shoot a LOT more on a single battery charge.
Next positive - IBIS. I am having huge issue with my Nikon as my hands get shakier (unfortunately) but the Fujifilm was astounding for what I could shoot handheld! I shot a nighttime street scene a 1/4 of a second handheld, and it was sharp enough to be used! There is no way on heaven or earth I could've got usable images with my Nikon handholding at those speeds. I'm missing that!
I wasn't overly impressed with it's noise or sensor, shock horror, I didn't see the benefits of it over my D3500! Shoot me, but the Nikon actually has more pleasant high ISO noise, but if you're using Adobe Creative Cloud, you can run its super effective RAW denoiser and get good results from both.
Anyway, that's the key takeaways from my Fujifilm trial. Yep, I'm probably going to end up with one at some point (I've bought the kit lens shared on here today!) but I'll be using my X-T4 with old manual lenses and playing about with its abilities in that area.
Viltrox make good lenses - the 13MM/F1.4 is stunning for the price but is about £350. There is this Viltrox portrait lens I posted for £125:
