    8000mhz of ram would be overkill. Don't see much difference personally when I get over the 3400hz part

    You're talking about DDR4.
    Ryzen 7000 works optimally with 6000MHz DDR5 (4800mhz being the slowest available) but it's likely that the future generations CPUs for the AM5 will support faster memory and it's good to have a mobo that will be able to handle them. (edited)
