I'd heard of salt caves before, but hadn't realised there were any nearby for me. My son is a severe asthma sufferer and also suffers with eczema so i'm deffo up for this, and i see that supervision of a child is free for the adult. They may even know more on the salt pipes i'd been tempted to try too.

wordsworth

A bit of research shows there is some validity for this with positive trials with people with cystic fibrosis and asthma , though clinical trials often used nebulized salt inhalation versus salt caves, but there seems like there is some good evidence. http://www.salinetherapy.com/html/research___studies.html

What do you expect for £6 as if the poor lads have even made any money, I own a valeting firm in Liverpool and have been asked to do this offer haha not a chance it's a bad idea as these valeters found out, it costs more in petrol then £6 never mind anyones wages, ridiculous idea £6 haha wouldnt get out of bed for it so stop moaning you plum and get ya doe out you **** bag.

Azureus

Its a bucket wash and vac with a quick wipe over with a waxy rag. Takes about 10 minutes, I've had it done. Okay for £6 but do not expect showroom condition. They will also try very hard to to sell you the full valet for £50 and getting the vac and black tyres extra over an ordinary car wash does not make up for that. YMMV Voted cold.

Anyone got their item yet? Mine has been in transport for what seems like forever! I am told I should get it at the end of the month, looking unlikely now.

The voucher was only available to buy on June 2nd. Have you got it now? I had trouble getting emails from mycitydeal for some reason, I've had to use my Gmail and they come through fine now. Eeek - Saw the post title for this one, misread it as "massager", and assumed the usual euphemism out of it. Looked at the picture, mistook it for a DVD cover depicting bukkake on the left, and an orgy on the right. You know those moments you get where you think that you really, really should go to sleep? This is definitely one of them.

Watch out for the 'stewards' urging you to fire off hundreds of paintballs in the very first round - they are there to get you to buy more. Pace yourself. Dress light because under the overalls you will get hot and sweaty. Be prepared for plenty of cheats and ********s who will shoot you at point blank range against all the rules. You will come home with bruises. O and in my experience at least the grenades are crap - don't bother.

+1 vouchers are a con and end up being more expensive

Retro89

Went paintballing a few years ago, think me and my mates got 200 to start with, and at the end of the second game (out of 5 games) they were all gone. We all put some money in to buy a big bag of 1000 which was something like £70-£80 and they were gone on the 4th game. Our 5th game we were just shooting air, but we made use of the rules where if you manage to get to an opposing team member and say surrender then they arnt allowed to shoot you for Safety reasons. While it was fun, i dont think i'll do it again.

Anarchist

Echo everyone elses comments, so I won't bother typing the same stuff. Last few times I've been paintballing, I've used around 700-1000 paintballs. Awesome fun though, and a lot harder than you might think!

Is this "Thai/Chinese" like the Buffet Star in Liverpool? They count rice as a Thai dish so they can get the title in.

Any MyCity deals need to be approached with caution imo, bearing in mind all the hassle about the sunglasses and watches deals.

RufusA

However tickets only cost £7.50 if bought direct from open squares or £9 on the day: http://www.opensquares.org/ So where does MyCityDeal's £9.50 come from?? Also if you buy direct from capitcal gardens you get a free £5 garden voucher, making entry only £2.50 if you are likely to spend it. Therefore tepid from me! Rufus.

My City vouchers seem very dodgy at the minute - see the threads on MSE about watches and sunglasses.

mp_finn

I have used West Country Karting for a few stag events and found them to be very good. Have just spoken to them and they have confirmed that it is a valid deal for a maximun of 4 drivers in any group BUT these vouchers can only be used on Sundays (within the next 3 months)

millarcat

It clearly says on the site that this is for 90 laps . When it does mention the 90 miniutes it says 90 minutes of karting, so this would be on the track

Solong

MY city deal????? Would rather stick pins in my eyes than go though them, truly, truly awful company.

be careful....MyCityDeals are turning out to be disastrous for most of the people who have taken up some of the dodgy offers....check MSE for details of the Sunglasses Offer that was a disaster and the Watches offer as well, you were able to buy a money off voucher but to most peoples horror!....the prices had risen by a riduculous amount for the duration of the offer....big losses all round!

slightly true......i bought the £10 3 course with glass wine deal for the forbury restaurant deal in reading.....food and restaurant were fine and very good for £10, though they did charge service on top...but for what we paid cant complain...said it was orginally £25.10, but it wasnt as the menu for £17 and wine £5 (so someone cant add!!)

equalityforall

So all these activities with Spice are then free for 3 months once you've bought this deal? Edit - looked at spice site, for list of activities, and they are still pay per use, with a discount for members, compared to guests, such as 'Canadian Canoe Adventure ..enjoy a day out in 'canoe country' Guest User Date Sat 29 May 2010 Location Symonds Yat # HR9 5QT Meet At 10.00am to approx 3.30pm Cost £47 Member, £52 Guest So I'm assuming that this deal means you get cheaper spice membership and then are entitled to member prices for activities. http://www.spicebham.com/bookit/bkiteventwriteup.asp?eventno=023114

trister

I've only had good experience with mycitydeal - got two cineworld tickets for £2 (registered twice) - but despite that this particular deal is nowhere near as good. As far as I can tell the membership (supposedly worth £136) does absolutely nothing. You still have to pay for all the activities at exactly the same price you'd pay if you went to them direct. And as for the £100 voucher, what you actually get is: "This gives you a full 3 months membership to experience what Spice is all about, plus £50 of Vouchers for you and £50 for your guest to spend on events, to help you get started. These are £10 off any holiday, £10 off any weekend, £5 off any Ramble, £5 Off any Sports event, £5 Off any Watersports Event, £5 Off Any Motorsports Event, £5 off any Airsports Event, £5 off any Social Event." -- http://www.spiceuk.com/mycitydeal?handshaked=true The offer sounded good at first, but after reading into it this isn't a very good deal imo, sorry :(

I ordered two as presents and the prices today were the same as yesterday. TopCashBack has tracked at £6.42 for the MyCityDeal purchase and also for the phone purchases which means both watches together in total come to £20 delivered. They were both £59 which is the going rate according to Google Products. I guess they were using this as a marketing scheme!

defard

Just had a quick look and I cant see one watch here thats worth the money. If someone tells you something is worth £100 doesnt mean its worth £100!

deleted65393

This is how it works: • - Buy the deal • - We email you the voucher after the deal ends • - Voucher activates on Tuesday 25th May 2010 at 12pm How can it be a con when they clearly tell you which brands are eligible for this deal! If you look tomorrow and the prices have increased or the voucher is only valid for watches over a £100 or something then I would class that as a con.

sew109

Huge con if it were genuine you could use the voucher on any brand not just the few crappy ones that they list Levis make jeans not watches Triumph make motorbikes not watches etc etc

Hitme

The vouchers don't usualy activate until 48 hours after the deal finishes. Worth a bit of research though as I was looking at a watch for about £70 which would cost me £25 using this voucher. The same watch was avaialbe from Amazon for £30, so still cheaper but not a the huge saving it first appeared to be. In MCD's defence I did purchase a similar watch voucher for a different store a week ago and the worked really well as it could be spend on any brand on the site so I got a watch I actually wanted at a brilliant price (prices did not increase once voucher was issued).

The buzzing modern bar and its world-class mixologists make for a truly wonderful drinking experience. This restaurant, however, particularly stands out thanks to the high quality, delicious food featured on its extensive menu. The cuisine is English in style, but the chefs have added an imaginative ‘Modern European’ twist to many traditional dishes, achieving some one-of-a-kind options which you simply must sample. Classics include popular favourites such as Ribeye steak, stuffed pan-fried chicken with flavoured mash and seabass, along with slightly more unusual dishes such as game pie and black pudding, deconstructed moussaka, and a stilton & apple tart. These are chosen according to season and show off the chefs' passion and talent for the culinary arts. Freshness is key here – and this is reflected in their drinks too - they double chill beers so the second half is always as cold as the first. Don’t know what we mean? Well get down there and find out for yourself! With its open kitchen, sunlit or candlelit tables and great location, Bacchanalia is the choice for business chats, shopping breaks or somewhere to mingle with friends. So come along and dine in the perfect ambience of this peaceful location while sampling the imaginative cuisine – for 67% off. Another great MyCityDeal! REVIEWS: "Our experience of this restaurant was very pleasant. The food was excellent as were the waiting staff. Prices were very reasonable for city centre. Would visit again most definitely." TRIPADVISOR "I have to say, the Lamb Rack, given a Mediterranean twist with its honey and sultana crust, was the best dish I've ever had in a Manchester restaurant." RESTAURANTS OF MANCHESTER "We enjoyed every minute. The food, surroundings and staff were excellent. We would most certainly return." MANCHESTER-EATINGThe buzzing modern bar and its world-class mixologists make for a truly wonderful drinking experience. It states on some sites it offers short term weight loss. People who carry weight can be so deperate for weight loss they give anything a go.

Just been paint balling costs a lot more than £2 we paid £35 and got 500 paint balls ,1st game i used 30 my mate used 300 .I used 1100 and at £7.50 per 100 it wasn't cheap but a good day out, some used 2000 Not voted as it is really fun i went to the Bawtry one

buzzard

if you have ever paintballed you know that the important question is - how much do other paintballs cost? Because they often give these days away (even with lunch) knowing that you'll use 100 paintballs very rapidly and need to buy a lot more. No vote from me.

boggydweller

paint sales is how most paintball sites make there money. £125 for a box is a bit steep considering you can by a box on-line for £30. you expect some mark up but not 400% ish.

Noghar

+1. 100 paintballs would last one player fifteen minutes, and they make their money selling you more. In fact they even brief you at the start with a warning that bringing your own paintballs will get you thrown out.

coerce86

not bad price for entry but they really make a killing on the paintballs (125? a box last time i went there) and you'll easily use about half a box or a box between 3 of you

Uncle.Monkey

I get sent vouchers for FREE beers and cocktails at Revolution (and even worse place) in Clapham almost every Friday. I still don't set foot in there.

schmoogie7

Oh well I've never been haha. Clapham is a fun night out. And it's not where you go it's who you are with that makes a great night. And for £4 for 3 cocktails and entry you can't knock it. Even if you just go in there for the 3 drinks. It's still £4. :-D
