    Does anyone know if these budget bars will auto switch themselves on and off with the TV ?

    They will if connected by an HDMI cable and the audio setting changed to CEC HDMI

    Random q. Does it have any lag on starting up? My current soundbar has an issue where if it goes quiet for a while and then sound comes in there's a delay in the soundbar starting up again to play.

    This or spend £20 more for the Hisense 2100? Never had a soundbar before.

    it would be for tv viewing, eg some movies and live tv. Ps5 (no headset) and watching football (edited)
