Genuine question, how do these compare to the likes of the DJI minis? Tempted by a drone for a while but no experience of one so thinking this might be a decent starter drone.

At the 140 price it’s a solid starter drone but I’d say if you can afford it consider saving up for a Dji mini 2 (not the Se) the mini 3 & 4 are better but that’s reflected in the price

Also being over 250 grams mean you have more flight restrictions

Does not go the price you mentioned

Does indeed apply the 20% promo code also (edited)

Very good Drone, £139 is a steal. I bought mine at full price and have not regretted. Thinking of buying this as a spare, that batteries about £70 a pop.

Just got my flyer ID also, passed 1st time

    495g, for anyone wondering.

Buy a second hand Mavic. It will be better for sure!

Definitely! Grabbed a spare or repair Mavic Air from MPB with a split propeller arm for £75. Bit of superglue and away to go...

Don't bother wasting your money, you'd be better off buying a second hand DJI Mini 2

Not sure the point of having a drone. As they all have cameras, you need an Operator ID, and are so restricted on where you can fly them??

I got my Operator ID at first attempt. It was basic stuff but I learned a thing or 2 while Googling answers. My Drone weighs under 250g so I have less restrictions than this but it wouldn't put me off. If you can find a quiet spot anywhere you can take off and land and film things well away from people - even if people are there.

Not sure the point of having a drone

Yes they are just fun and getting a new angle on things but it's not just having a peep over the nearest hill.

I want to explore Photogrammetry as I've a 3D printer and also do a bit of computer developing. Imagine being able to walk around objects in an Oculus Quest or placing Objects in an AR mobile game. Or making models of your house or local attraction. You could make a business out of these. These are just what I'm thinking of doing but there's plenty of potential besides just filming things.

Ordered cheers OP, this will do to practice on and get the hang of flying. If I get into it can upgrade to DJI or homebrew and pass this to son.

I have the Potensic Atom SE and love it. I never considered this because it's over 250g but the restrictions aren't much more where I can fly slightly nearer to crowds than you. If I had to choose again I'd have gone for this because it's £100 less than what I paid although I'm still super happy about my purchase.

Get your operators id while you wait, it's really easy to complete but you will learn a thing or 2 by taking it.

    Great deal! Ordered thanks!

Good deal, but buyers need to be aware that this is 495g in weight, so a lot more rules surrounding where you can fly than the likes of the DJI Mini series of drones.

Code coming up as not valid. Has it expired ?

Still has £100 off on mine, can't see the 20% off though as used mine (only allowed one)
