Just ordered this after shopping for a large tablet for weeks. Best not break the bank considering I may not use as much as intended. Solid reviews, especially if you don't need a killer CPU.

My Honor Pad 9 arrived today and I'm DELIGHTED! The charging cable supplied is a slow charging cable, so I also purchased a fast lightening cable and fully charged witin 20 minutes! Nice!
Wonderful smooth action and the sound is absolutely terrific - 8 speakers.
Far better quality than my now non-working defunct Apple iPad, that's for sure!

What cable did you buy? The one out the box is very slow… thanks

Is it worth the extra for keyboard version?
    philjstephenson's avatar
i bought one with the keyboard included, its handy but not essential. The only niggle is that the on/off power button is horribly placed and difficult to use,its recessed and hard to use....not worth much more than an extra £50 IMHO

Great price, I still have the pad 8 in draw gathering dust, found it really annoying without a finger print scanner/biometrics so had to replace it and the pad 9 doesn't have it either.
Having to unlock it at night with passcode and logging into banking apps with user id and password instead of just tapping your finger is a pain, if you can live without it then it's a great tablet.

There is a review on youtube stating that the face recognition camera works well, even in the dark - is that not the case?

(Just realised you have the 8 but not the 9, so unsure if the same applies to the 8, or even if it has face recognition) (edited)

I just ordered this today as my Apple iPad decided to just die on me:-(
Looks great but it doesn't come with a charger cable, so you will have to order that seperately @ £7.99.

Don't you have a USB C cable in your home?

Ordered for £200 plus £4 cashback (JD), thanks, should work with my existing Honor 90 super charger as well.

Will put Nova launcher premium on it. (edited)

Used Nova for years but moved to Microsoft launcher in the end. It's excellent and silky smooth.

Still have the Pad 8 and it's been fab for everything media related, but relatively poor as a gaming tablet.

Can this run yugioh master duel on it smoothly? It’s the only android game I play

It's worth noting you can also add an additional 8Gb of virtual ram on this tablet

I forgot to add about the Honor Pad 9 - Absolutely AWESOME Picture & Sound Quality. I connected my mega Sony wireless headphones and the sound quality is AMAZING!
