Might just be missing something but where do I get the friend referral code?

I've registered two accounts, got the 10% 'football' and 5% new user codes applied but I didn't receive a referral code during registration and can't see how to generate one from their website (on either account).

    Any ideas?

Go to the website link in the post, send a link to an email, then when you get an email with a link, visit it and claim the referral code with a different email address

    EDIT: got it to work!

Problem was the noscript add on in Firefox. I disable that along with adblock and now it has registered!

    EDIT again:

    After all that...

Delivery limited to UK mainland only on orders placed via the LG online store.

So no shipping to N Ireland. Just wasted an hour of my life. (edited)

So disappointing, was looking to grab one myself too.

    100 hz only...not 120

Nope, all new LG oleds are 120, I don’t know why they still list as 100

This is an incredible price. I think I paid £899 a couple of years ago and it's been the best TV I've ever had. I only use it for PS5 but it's way better than any monitor I've owned. At this price just buy one, if you are in need for this size of TV, either for gaming or a caravan etc. where space is limited.Heat all day long.
    JON_CHAPMAN1971's avatar
How did you pay £899 a couple of years ago when it only came out last year?
  5. horstachio's avatar
This is a great TV, probably best at this size. Great price, I was more than happy paying £800 last year
  6. stamfordblue's avatar
    Excellent price for this TV.
I paid £724 a couple of months ago, and was happy with that.
Really didn't think it would go this low.

Do we get 5 year warranty with LG TVs? Thanks.

Ordered the 48” for £660, thanks!

Wow insane price for this level of TV and specs

Daaamn at this price the C3 is better value than most monitors out there right now 🔥

I bought the Dell AW3225QF over this as it’s 240hz, but I almost bought this.
  14. Grayday's avatar
Really frustrating here as none of my codes are working (referral + BLC) apart from the 5% off and 10% football one.
    Grayday's avatar
Got it working but without BLC discount.
  15. skinrush's avatar
People are comparing this to monitors, but monitors tend to have anti glare coatings on them, making them more suitable for pc use.
LG OLEDs are great, but I don’t think they’re all that great for use as a monitor, unless all you plan to do on it is gaming.
    xybp9's avatar
I use mine as a monitor but in a room where I don't get glare. My old office had too much light and i was always pulling the blinds shut

I can't get the referral code to apply. I keep getting an error saying xxxxxxxxxx is a code that is not available on the product or is not valid. The only thing I changed was the screen size - I upped it to 48". Any ideas?

I first set up an account with an email address, then sent a referral link to another email. I got the code in my other address, went to the website and logged in, added the TV to basket and tried to apply the referral code. No luck. The 5% and FOOTBALL code both work ok, just not the referral.

Are you sure you’re typing it properly?

Maybe clear cookies or try other browsers or devices.

Or it could be you need to use the same email for your referral code to be received and LG account .

    Would this be a big improvement compared to old Panasonic ( 2019 ) 40" Ultra HD 4K LED Television - TX-40GX820B ....??
    cannibalwombat's avatar
    Yes
  18. Nick10k's avatar
I'd worked this out earlier in the week based on another post for the referral and because I was having trouble stacking another code. It arrived on Friday, don't be worried if it gets put on hold after the order, seems like standard practice.
  19. mankymanning's avatar
Bought one of these at the beginning of the year for about 850, currently using as a monitor and TV watching. This is an amazing bargain.
  20. Joejeep's avatar
Just pulled the trigger on this one thank you. Been contemplating since yesterday.
  21. danflorin3's avatar
I have 3m ( 120" ) distance from the back of the sofa to where the TV will be. Should I go for 48" or 43" size? I have 2 kids 3 and 6 years old. Which one would be better for them. In general they don't watch TV that much, some cartoons now and then on Netflix, but sometimes I watch football with my 6y son and the tv channel is not even HD...
    iby2012's avatar
42 in that sense will better. Just because of the resolution. 720p should be fun.

But it really depends. Some people might say go for the 55. Bigger is better.

People use the 48/42 as a monitor with a 1M distance for the 48. So it varies.

Any old TV would do for 720p though? And then get the 42 down the line, no rush? In a few years maybe they will shift down the G series tech, OLED gets brighter and so on idk.
  22. shaunk26's avatar
Just bought the 42 for my bedroom and 48 for my dining room. Great price for the two of them.
