New season, new LIDL merch collection ... and before you come at me saying that that we are paid by LIDL to write this (WE ARE NOT) and this collection is a pile of rubbish, I would like to point out that YES I totally am and hype-driven individual that wants stuff because they are popular BUT I also would like to highlight that I am in very good company, as every time that LIDL drops a merch collection everything goes sold out completely in a matter of minutes and queues outside stores are always insanely long.

Probably a fashion tragedy in itself, but definitely less embarrassing for me...

Here's the tea:
The collection will launch on the 20th of July and you can already see a preview with prices and basic info HERE

Where can you find it:
This is a link for a store locator, to check your nearest LIDL shop: HERE

All the staples and best sellers from previous collections will come back - including the infamous trainers that sold a pair every three seconds last time (I wish I was joking ), but there are also a few new items that are making their first appearance - first and foremost: The LIDL bucket hat.

It is not a news that bucket hats are one of the accessories that are trending the most this year and LIDL just joined the flock of brands that came out with one of their own.

Another couple of accessories will make their debut: a pair of sliders (for £5.99) and a couple of different swimsuits ( for just £4.99).

Let's see the collection a little bit more in details:

  • Livergy Lidl Trainers - £14.99
  • Esmara Lidl Trainers - £14.99
  • Livergy Lidl Swim Shorts - £4.99 (3 colour-ways)
  • Livergy Lidl Sliders - £5.99 (3 colour-ways)
  • Lidl Bum Bag - £4.99 (2 colour-ways)
  • Esmara Lidl T-Shirt £4.99 (4 colour-ways)
  • Adults’ Lidl Socks - £1.99 (2 colour-ways)
  • Lidl Bucket Hat - £4.99 (2 colour-ways)

Overall, the collection gives big 90s vibes, with tie-dye, block colours, and checkerboard prints taking centre stage throughout the full range and to be honest I really am not mad at some of this

Will you try to buy anything? Will you try and score some pieces and then put them on eBay? If you manage to get anything please come back here and show us what you got and give us a quality review!!!

I have Gregg's merch (their crocs knock offs are really comfy as slippers!). I wish this had been released a couple of weeks ago - I would have been totally kitted out for the holiday. A father's job is to embarrass his kids on holiday and this would certainly have done the job!

I can't work out if it's being released as a MEME or a serious attempt at fashion.

They saw the ‘success’ of the Greggs merch and thought they’d take a slice of the pie (or sausage roll) I guess.

Lidl should give these free to loyal customers and anyone who spends £75 shopping in one transaction inside the store, it will also be Free Advertising for Lidl.

I don't mind shopping at Lidl , a lot of the products are absolutely fine if not better than competition . However I don't know how much Lidl would have to pay me to make me wear these

Humming and hawing about the shirt. If the shorts are as comfy as the Aldi ones I’ll get them.

What I want to know it what happens to all that random foreign promo stuff, they tuck away on a back shelf.
Spanish bats ears in brine, roast honey chicken toe nails from Poland...
All that gear that hangs around gathering dust for months

The Greggs range in Primark ( A sentence that initself sounds like a malarial vision) has proven that people will willingly buy landfill.
