Details

We all welcome the sun but sometimes the heat can get too much. When that happens and you need to cool down, a Luko portable air con unit is the ideal solution. With a huge cooling capacity, remote control, and being able to cover a whole room - the Luko 16,000 BTU will keep you cool even in the fiercest heat.

Suitable for homes, offices, home gyms, conservatories or any room with a mains power supply, this air con unit is fully portable so can be moved to wherever it's needed. And, with a free window kit included, it's an all-in-one cooling solution.

Energy Efficient
With an 'A' Energy Rating you know you're cooling down in the most efficient way. Great for you and great for the environment! The unit also has 3 operating modes; cool, fan and dry so you'll always be able to select the most efficient programme without wasting energy.

Super Cooling
With a maximum air flow of 410m³ / hour of air circulated per hour means you can cool any room up to 32m². This powerful air con unit is far more effective than a rotary fan which simply pushes around warm air. With the Luko BTU 16,000 you'll notice a huge change in temperature control. Once you've used this unit you'll never go back to a traditional fan.

Ideal for any room in the home
In low fan speed the new and reduced sound pressure level of just 56dB(A) makes this an easy device to live with. It's very quiet. And, as it’s portable, you can move it around thew house with you. The handy sleep mode means no more uncomfortable nights when it's just too hot. Using the Luko 16,000 BTU reduces the relative humidity in a room which will help to remove the sticky feeling from the air during the summer months.

Or in the office
This is a great unit for ensuring your staff keep their cool under pressure! Suitable for offices and other workplace environments between 20-32m². And, with its low-noise operation, your staff won't be disturbed while they keep cool.

Easy to use
With straightforward controls, remote control, and a manual included, this user-friendly air conditioning unit will have you cooled down and comfortable in no time. The timer controls mean you can set the device to cool the house or office before you get there and with four different modes you can choose different cooling levels for maximum efficiency.

Ventilation
The Luko BTU 16,000 includes a venting kit which extracts the warm air and ejects it from the room via the exhaust hose. This ensures ultra-effective cooling as, unlike rotary fans, the heat is not recirculated within the room.

Thanks for this, needed one ready for summer. Like togs when buying a duvet I've no idea what BTUs are, but this seems a bit of a beast on the BTU scale!

British Thermal units. An average room 12x12 can manage well on 8,000btu this unit being a unique 16,000 (A290) Eco friendly Gas would do a very Large open Plan Large Area with ease. This unit does require an exhaust window kit or a vent hole thru the wall to exhaust the hot Air from the Compressor.

Looks like a Costway FP10114DE-WH and shares part numbers:

Here's a video I found of that: VIDEO

Nice find, these look identical, and waaaaay more expensive (even converted from €) than this deal

Edit: if you search for the FP10114DE-WH code you get a lot of Euro based sellers for the Costway version and a few reviews, for those worried about the brand/no reviews etc (edited)

That is a lot of Aircon for £200. Buy one now and you will be laughing in the next heatwave

Anyone seen any reviews on this particular one? I'm loathe to spend that much on something that doesn't have reviews online anywhere.

My concern is Ebuyer Sell a lot of Refurbished items. And Buyer beware PayPal Does Not unlike a visa/mastercard Protect your rights of making a claim to get a refund. (edited)

Buyer Beware PayPal has a limited Protection on Goods unlike Mastercard/Visa which in the event of a dispute will take up your case under there consumer Protection.

I bought this in the height of summer for a bit more than this. It kicks out cool air and a lot of it, but dont expect this to be as good as a proper split unit. The problem with portable units is they effectively suck hot air into the room as they blow out cool air. (edited)

Heat added, taken the plunge and bought one, can't be dealing with another 2 summers like the last two with just some fans, will have to see how it goes.

Definitely over bought on BTU for current room size though.

Last summer was not super hot at all aside from the 1 week in July and 1 week in September. Even then I would say it was hot, but not super hot.

The summer before was stupid hot, I agree. But that was definitely not the normal summer in england, more of a one off.

This looks exactly like a black and decker one

I bought a Luko Air Conditioner in about September, I thought it was a 10,000 BTU model but I’ve just checked it and it’s the 16,000 BTU model! It’s pretty poor at lowering the temperature and if I was buying again I wouldn’t buy this brand!

Do you have a good window kit? A room needs to be closed down to Run it sufficiently?? Most large units have an inbuilt Vaporiser to extinguish the water. If your running the unit to hard then when the compressor kicks in the unit will go into limp mode until the water Container has been vaporised. Make sure the room is closed down and the Vent hole is sealed completely

I got a similar one(16000 BTU) and the one with front vents(10000 BTU! Th one with front vents was much better though with lesser BTU. The model like this pushes cool air upwards to ceiling compared to the one which will direct to our body height!
