I got one of these on the last offer from currys with the trade in an old machine code, just my opinion but the coffee tastes worse than the classic Nespresso pods.its probably just stronger but cant get on with it and have gone back to my lattisima leaving about 90 vertuo pods in the cupboard .the frother is nice for making hot chocolate for the kids though

That's a shame. I bought one in the same offer and I have to say I love mine! Amazing coffee. I traded in an old machine, used a blue light discount and ended up getting: New Machine, Milk Frother and 162 capsules for £52!

Click on Free Nespresso Coffee Capsules right side of page . It will open up a para with "Participants can also claim a free Aeroccino 3 Milk Frother when they go on to register and activate a Nespresso Coffee subscription plan by no later than 23:59 on 31/12/2022"

the pods are expensive but I took a chance and went for the 6 month subscription plan which has helped spread the cost. It did include 2 free months but not sure if thats still the case. Ha just reading the blurb 1 and 6 months free so yes its about the cheapest way to get these pods.

As for the coffee its the best ive tasted. I have the small pod version Inissia machine, a Tassimo, Dolce Gusto, Lavazza, a standard percolator. The coffee is better than any of these in my opinion but it can be expensive. The plan brings the cost down. The only other thing I would say is to buy the bigger pods if you like a large cup of coffee. The 40ml ones are not my kettle of fish at all. (edited)

I have used the subscription code to activate my subscription and claim the milk frother. I paid £1. Will I receive pods with the milk frother? Surprised I was not asked which pods I wanted monthly as part of the subscription. Thanks

With the free pods they simply give you a selection. I didn't get a milk frother with my deal drat but if youve claimed it then it should arrive in due course. If you activated your subscription then you choose your first months selection ( I went for the cheapest larger pods) and ordered. You can claim your free recycling bags at this point. Your payment amount is recurring until you cancel. Your 6th month is free also. Thats about as much as I recall. I did buy one of the pod bundles a couple of months ago. Not sure it made any difference cost wise.

Important - well worked for me, activate your subscription, wait for £26 to go in your account and then wait 48hours as your account should change to ‘ambassador’ which then gives you extra off your 1st order, so like £10 or £15.

    Better than Lavazza Espresso Passionale?

That's the best pod coffee I've had. Strength of 11 yet 100% Arabica.

Every other strong pod seems to have Robusta in it and doesn't have the same smoothness.

Have to say I dont think there is much difference between coffee shop and Vertuo pods. They are not awful by any stretch of the imagination and are probably the best out there.

Yes Nespresso have a monopoly on these patented pods and they are on the expensive side. However it costs me at least £2.95 for a single cup of shop bought coffee. If your a coffee bod then bean to cup machines may be the way to go. I found them way too much work.

Whatever pod machine you use they are generally efficient and fast. Nespresso costs can be spread with their subscription service and free pod offers. They also have a pod recycling service with free pick up.

I think they are doing just fine. The idea is always to sell the machines cheap and make the money off the pods. They were only sold in America in year one and are now sold just about everywhere.

The RRP on the machines is ridiculous. There can't be anyone paying £299 for one.

I got bought one for Christmas 2020, it broke a few days later, I called them up, went through 30 seconds of trouble shooting and they sent me a new one free of charge and didn't even ask for original machine back. I'm sure with a bit of work, I could have got it working again

The pods is where they make their money on these
