The new L'or ones which are regularly on offer for 10 for £2 are really nice. Ristretto which is 11 for a strong cuppa and Profondo which is an 8 is really lovely as a Latte. Asda extra special were good too. The only ones that don't get used in my house are the aldi ones, too bitter but their new Italian one is an improvement

Sorry for being a bit slow - so can I register a new machine bought from Amazon for the £75 credit?

You can buy them in Selfridges, but they are same price as online. Lor have just released a nespresso compatible capsule although i have not tried it yet (but Lor instant coffee is quite good). I tried the Dual-IT nespresso compatible ones from Costco....they were not very nice.

Also just saw this which confirms monthly rollover:

Nespresso are doing a deal where for 18 or 45 a month you get a machine and the same amount back in coffee or accessorries every month, so the machine is free essentially.

If you use £25 a month worth of capsules then this is a good deal.... However I think I would struggle! Heat added for the initiative of the offer.

Love Nespresso...... great coffee

Tried most of the coffee capsule machines and have to say that Nespresso is by far the best I've came across when you consider the actual taste of the coffee and the real ease of use and cleaning. However, as someone who really enjoys a good strong cup of coffee I recognise that everyone has different tastes.

£18 a month gets you 50 capsules so that gets you on average 2.7 cups a day at a cost of 36p a cup but who in there right mind would pay £18 a month for one of theses horrible machines certainly not people who enjoy coffee X)

This has been on since last year if not longer

Very tempting for me - working in a city centre so it's either a typical takeaway coffee (£2 from all the main coffee shops) or instant in the office kitchen which is a step down once you've got a taste for a decent cup. At home I have a Nespresso machine and love it but that's mainly for weekends (unless I get five mins on the way out in the morning!). So to get a machine for a quid and then spend (in my case, because I like the idea of the milk frother) £25 a month contribution to spend directly on Nespresso capsules is good value as I would spend at least £2.50 per day otherwise (maybe £5 if I get one for the afternoon as well). £25 will get me around 80 capsules a month so if I order that each month then I've got 3 or 4 capsules a day roughly. If that means two americanos, capuccinos or lattes a day (two shots each) then that's a big saving (we get milk provided in our kitchen to go with the instant coffee and tea bags!). As long as I can fit it in my locker (clear desk policy!) then I'm going to go for it.
I think I'll pop along to the Nespresso shop first though for a demo just to make sure it's as good a model as mine at home...
Thanks OP!

Hot from me. Can't understand why anyone who drinks coffee daily wouldn't go for it. I did the £18 a month deal and then realised I'll still have to shell out every six weeks despite what's in my account to pay for my 200 pods. We average about three cups a day in our household.

I never jumped on this last time it was on here but I'm still interested. … I never jumped on this last time it was on here but I'm still interested. What would you say is the best package/machine to go for? There's two adults that would be using it for say 2-4 coffees a day on average.

That very much depends on whether you just want coffee? Or if you also like the occasional cappuccino or latte too?
The Inissia will provide you with just the coffee.
The Inissia with Aeroccino will offer coffee, cappuccino and latte.
The Lattassima Touch will offer coffee, cappuccino and latte (but with a much simpler and quicker process than the Inissia and Aeroccino).
I personally have both the Inissia & Aeroccino and the Lattissima Touch (from this current subscription). The Inissia is just a back up/guest room machine now.
In regards to the amount of coffee you drink, on an average cost of 33p per pod, over 31 days, the following monthly costs would occur...
2 cups would be £20.46
4 cups would be £40.92
So, based on the fact you have 3 years to use your credits and they don't need to be used each month (any money not spent keeps on rolling over), I would say your best bet is going for the Lattissima Touch (as you will likely be spending that much on coffee anyway). Even if you just have 2 coffees (per household) a day, that will mean that you will have enough credits to provide you with 2+ years worth of coffee.
Hope that helps.

I never jumped on this last time it was on here but I'm still interested. What would you say is the best package/machine to go for? There's two adults that would be using it for say 2-4 coffees a day on average.

I went with a similar offer to yours with £75 of vouchers a year and a half ago and because you get it in 3 £25 spends I always had to top up my orders to hit 200 capsules to get the free delivery. It's an existing deal but a good one, hot from me OP

Same here. Plus you don't have to spend all or any of the £18 credit each month, you can just roll it over and use it anytime within 3 years. I know I will def be buying enough coffee to cover me for that period, so it seems like a no brainer for me. £1 coffee machine and coffee that I would be buying anyway.
I'm guessing the majority are not keen on the whole subscription thing though.

I've just got my first £25 credited to my account after purchasing our Nespresso this week.

I am considering the 'new member' offer, for the 150 capsule pack + free gift for £47.70. When I added it to basket, it took off the £25 credit, so I would only have to pay £22.70 cash, plus delivery.

So it does appear that you can use the account credit against this offer.

I'm probably gonna get the 'View Cappuccino' cup set as my free gift.

I was sceptical that the gift was free, but £47.70 divided by 150 does equate to 31p per pod, so the cup set and/or pod holder is indeed free.

Your call on what you go for but I would highly recommend at some point you go to John Lewis or Currys and try Nespresso or Lavazza. Happy drinking!

Ended up buying a Nespresso Inissia with milk frother for £95 at Argos, just working my way though the free pods, I've also bought some compatible pods from Lidl at work out at 18p each and so far taste as good as the real thing

Don't know why they cant leave all the sugar out and let you add it if required.

Fair enough, i would just use the Americano Nescafe Azera, in Milk. I buy the large size tins in bulk when on special offer, lowest i've bought is £2.50 each, about 20 tins lasts me about a year. (100g Tins)

The pods are 3 for £10 at Asda at the moment so 24 latte drinks work out at 42p each so not a massive investment if I don't like it.The separate milk frothing on the Nespresso sounds good but I presume it then need the dried milk washing out pretty soon after use. I know I sound lazy but I'd rather not have to do that.thomps21 I'll get a jar of Azera first and see what that tastes like.

I've been researching coffee for a while now. It's started to become a bit of an obsession. I recently completed a foundation barista course and I'm leaning towards a pump machine for an authentic espresso. If you want a pod machine then I highly recommend going with Nespresso. They are the most expensive but you actually get a proper espresso. Nespresso encourages people to use fresh milk, as opposed to UHT milk with the Tassimo because it does affect the taste of the coffee. If you want cheap and cheerful then go with Tassimo or Nescafé. If you want the best quality coffee go with Nespresso or a pump machine.
