    What does this actually give you? I'm only interested in playing games offline. That's it. So what else will it offer me?

    - N64 games
    - Sega Mega Drive games
    - Animal Crossing DLC
    - Mario Kart DLC
    - Tetris 99 and various other free games from NSO
    Full game trials (when available you can play a specific game as much as you like over a long weekend)
    - Save backups (to the cloud)

    You aren't interested in online games, but also the Splatoon 2 DLC. (edited)

    It's £34.99 usually via Nintendo online store as mines just expired and I wanted to play minnish cap..

    I’m kind of wary about renewing mine when it runs out as I don’t know how they’re going to handle online on switch 2 if it releases next year.
    Like are they going to keep nso going for switch 2 or are going to make me buy super mario world again in a obtuse way for the 100th time.

    as has said - this has been available for very close to this price since it first became available at cdkeys and shopto. there's no indication that it will become unavailable. so there's not really a need to buy before you need it.

    but a valid code should still remain valid until it is redeemed
