Wouldn't worry too much about being anon when buying this as Nord are pretty anon themselves. Paypal will always track you, yes. Probably better at paying in a cryptocurrency exchanged from Monero if you want to be more anon rather than PayPal. Pretty sure they accept quite a few.

Torres76

Anyone paid for this via PayPal? Or is it better to pay via a no name pre-paid MasterCard? Really want to be anonymous when making a payment. PayPal is fully trackable right?

...so far working fine, full access to US Netflix, good in shielding p2p without particular slowing down, so overall the best paid VPN deal on the market at the moment (highfive)

You work in finance therefore are probably earning a decent salary - possibly earning in the top 2%. For you and I and many other people time, convenience and peace of mind is worth more than £14 per year. However before I was earning enough money not to have to worry about paying for these sorts of services, coincidentally a period when I also had time on my hands, it may have been worth sacrificing the time to save money I didn't have - time rich cash poor. Just saying.

Good deal OP, heat added! Can someone tell me if this works (including cashback) to extend a current subscription? I took a 3-year deal that expires next year, but I am considering extending with this posted deal. Just an update. Sent 5 emails to Nord but none answered. Terrible service from an allegedly top notch VPN service. I think they like taking peoples money more. Anyways I tried my email with some old passwords and surprise I got in. Turns out I had Nord briefly about 4 years ago and they added this subscription to my account. All working ok but not as fast as Pure VPN which unfortunately is not secure according to reviews. Will try Nord for the time being and maybe ask them why they dont respond to emails.....shocking. Above apart decent price for a 2 year plan.

I signed up for 2 years at $79.00 with 42% Topcashback. The speeds have been good. Torrents generally download at the same speed they did before. US Netflix works via the laptop. I sideloaded the app to my Firestick (V2 with Alexa), but US Netflix won't work with any server. I think you may need to set your Amazon accounts primary address to the US, otherwise it won't work. Word of caution - My cash back did not track. I'm currently going through the process of logging a missing cash back claim. Hopefully all will get resolved.

My TCB cashback moved to payable this morning. Did the 3 year deal with the coupon and got £30.29 cashback so overall cost of around £45 for the 3 years. :)

Junaid26

Same situation with me. Coming to two months now.

Lemm

Was just going to post to see if anyone had got their cashback from TCB yet. Mine has been confirmed to a while, just not moved to payable yet.

SnakeyX

I couldn't get the 3 years without the promo coupon (did try various way loading but kept reverting to full price on the Nord website). Took the 'safer' option of doing the above (2 years, removing coupon). mine was a few pence over £57, £23 cashback just been confirmed this week - so £17 per year for me - very happy with that! So say $99 was ~£70 and cashback declined that's £23 per year. Could've potentially got it down to approx £13.67 per year with payable cashback on the 3Y deal, but given TCB's antics on my previously valid transactions, it's too big a risk they'd have declined it IMO and would be stuck with £23 per year. Also, although I doubted the quality of my IPTV provider, it looks like Windscribe was the issue - this has been poles apart - consistent good service, same IPTV provider. A few glitches on higher bandwidth channels, but I'm more than happy given the price. If I bought a guest round they 99% of the time (when there isn't a glitch) they wouldn't know it's IPTV vs. 'real' TV.

Arold

Beware. NordVPN stuffed the wi-fi connection on my iPad (ios10 and now ios11). When it connects, the wi-fi disappears. It does the same intermittently with my iPhone. Opera VPN and Tunnelbear work fine with them. Go for a trial before handing over your cash.

MeneerSmith

14 eyes thing is a bit of a red herring. Your VPN provider wont have any useful data to hand over no matter where they are. They can confirm active sessions, perhaps a session start and/or end time, but these should not be a major problem for you. The TF article explains it a bit better than I can in a few paragraphs: https://torrentfreak.com/vpn-anonymous-review-160220/ Probably the key part of the TF article is this: Your session being stopped is about as much as can happen to you. Unless you are live streaming big sports events you will probably have no problems with session stopping.

foulone

Have you read the reviews in the OP?

lol... "I'm considering giving them a go because of the snoopers charter and virgin deciding what websites I'm not allowed on"... You said this. This is a quote from you. You never said '...and torrenting too'. @people who can read: if all you want to do is avoid the snoopers charter, both website blocking and website logging, then dont waste money on a vpn.

cldox

Maybe the man just wants to watch his dodgy porn without Theresa May watching over his shoulder. Though I agree that browser based proxies/VPNs are less than ideal, especially with how cheap a proper service can be had for. Also worth looking on StackSocial for deals on VPNs, I got 3 years of VPN unlimited for 20$ around 18 months ago.

This is bad advice. Don't listen to this. A VPN client such as PIA or the one suggested in the post provides a proxy for all incoming connections from the network.

I'm using Kodi and 1channel (primewire) is blocked, would it be better to use a VPN or SmartDNS in this circumstance? I also use torrents if that's any help with the answer?

lucyyy

Even better to use SmartDNS servers run by VPN provider (e.g. PureVPN, PIA, Hidemyass), but only if your main purpose is privacy/anonymity. If you don't think this is the case, than move on to DNS provider of your choice.
