Suspect you'd be better off with stainless steel (which will last a life time) or some cheap non-stick (which will need to be replaced every few years)
Cast iron is awesome, but it needs a bit more care.
I think some people expect a teflon non-stick experience from it and can be disappointed.
It's also heavy and takes a while to heat up.
If you're not cooking much, you'll probably find it more of a chore.
