So all in I got £243 (after fees) for my rotolight and have claimed my £400 cashback, a bit of cashback, so about £1250 overall. Plus 50 free prints from Jessops and the Sony 2 year warranty. Happy as Larry.

The savings are worth it. You can pretty much buy a A7II or A6500 as a backup for the price difference alone

I hear you, but for this particular deal, I'd rather take the hassle of selling off the bits I don't want and getting the cashback than risk an issue with a grey import from eglobal.

never had issues with returns/warranties or repairs with grey imports. Also worth noting that my savings to date total from buying imports total 15K+. so if anything goes bad, I saved enought o literally just go to the shop and buy another one brand new. Without having to wait for warranty processes

eInfinity do indeed have it at £1269, but at the cost of a questionable returns process, and it being a grey import, so not covered under manufacturer's warranty either. This deal is a better option IMO. I've bitten and gone for the Jessops price match, with an MC-11 adapter.

6D is still a brilliant camera, I've used mine everyday for the past 5 years and it has never failed. It's been used for personal as well as professional video/stills work. Not had any issues with focus, but I admittedly only ever use the centre point on any of my cameras and manual focus for video (of course). This is a great deal if you're moving from a crop sensor.

Fair enough. I was equally surprised by the customs label tbh. That seems legit, I did wonder if the vat on the receipt was just for show. Didn’t check their 6D price in fairness. For that camera I’m sure it’s a good deal (I didn’t vote) I was just saying just generally wouldn’t buy 6yr old tech.

I know Panamoz incredibly well - I've probably made 20+ purchases from them. Yours is a rarity if duty & VAT are correctly paid, because for 99%+ of orders, it isn't. As far as the reputation and warranty goes - if they decide to close their doors one day, buyers are shafted. The warranty isn't a "Canon Warranty" - they give you authorisation to send to Canon, ask you to pay the bill, and reimburse you - what do you think would happen if they closed? And to be clear, they have closed their doors before. Either way, it's still a substantial £750 more than this deal, and less than the 6D + 24-105 is selling for on Panamoz.

Had my 6d for about 3 years, it’s not perfect but am happy enough with it

Or "only 70% more" for a 6year newer camera. Dont find much rapidly changing tech (TV for example) which is only 70% more expensive than a 6yr old model. But yes big price jump but if you cant afford the newer one, id personally buy a lower end but newer camera. TBH the 6DMKii is a disappointment in low light (or bright light where it struggles with DR).

Out of genuine interest, what are people using these for? First I thought bird watching, but then people use cameras with huge lenses for that right? Then I thought sea captains, but I'm sure they use a telescope.

I’ve got a pair of the Vanguard Spirit ED 10x50 binoculars. Very well made and good optics. A bit more chromatic aberration than I expected for ED glass then again it didn’t cost £500+

Thanks I've also heard good things about Park. I've emailed the Vanguard folk in the UK using the email from the promotion will report back..

I have used Park Camera's in the past and they have good customer service. Had to send something back, no questions asked and refunded immediately. PS It might be £50 cashback or the free harness and not both, so worth checking.

Thanks that shoulder strap thing looks really good. I thought it would be like a camera strap but its like a full body rig! Also saw this whihc might be cheaper if using the free delivery option 2-3 days? I'm new to binoculars so not sure if this is the same model, think they sell refurb models on eBay so not sure if this is new stock - the web page does not say used. Also not sure if the seller is any good. I've heard of Park Cameras before and they are on TCB 1% SRS Microsystems. 90-92 The Parade High Street. Watford. Hertfordshire. WD171AW, United Kingdom

It worked great. I remapped mine to less than a quarter of the working area. I dropped my pen recently, instead of replacing the pen, I bought the smaller "Draw" version instead. I prefer the smaller form factor of the Draw. And I still remap it to less than quarter size. You don't need the larger tablets, not unless you want to needlessly move your hand/wrist. I've seen it mentioned on the Wacom site, that driver support will end for the "Small" sometime in early 2018. Just to let you know. I'm not sure if that's a big deal or not.

You may need the medium or large, or if you have multi monitor restrict the tablet to one screen

Anyone know how these fair at 4k resolution? I have had older ones in the past and the resolution of the tablet was too low for working in a 4k screen.

How do these compare to a surface pro? I can't draw for toffee on my surface!

forgot to say Park Cameras are also offering a free SD card for the weekend any order over £300. It's a decent card - Sandisk 32GB Extreme Pro - they say it's worth about £30 but nearer £20 really. Still for free it's great and not something that Jessops/ Amazon are offering. Admittedly like you say it's not quite down to the price last month but not much difference and with the pound not looking much like it's going to get much stronger, you never know how much this is likely to go up in the future. Hopefully will come down of course! Although only so I can buy other lenses! Annoying when you see something you bought go down though isn't it!

A friend ordered through Wex with 12m finance. Rang them after placing the order and they gave him the same card as Park. Give it a go :)

A little cheaper at Clifton Cameras if you’re not after the SD card. As @abr said Wex has cashback which could equate to around £23

Great lens. I decided to go for the newer 50mm f2 which is smaller and lighter and a little more suited to sitting on the smaller body of the X-T20.

Same price at Wex, also with 3% TCB but 0% finance available subject to application.

I was thinking for the mc-11, about £130-150 used. I already got an LA adapter I was using on my old nex5 with beercans and worked OK. 95% of my photos are landscape/travel and some macro, I don't really bother about super fast focus speed, but even so, I believe the faster AF of the mkii will compensate for the adapted lenses. Still, I haven't made my mind if I ll go for the mkii or keep the mki I have already ordered.

Will be interested to hear which lens adapter you go for and how well it works.

Not quite as good as yesterday's John Lewis deal (£449) and when I looked earlier, Park Cameras didn't currently have stock...

Good deal. Mine just arrived from yesterdays John Lewis deal. Seems like a very nice bit of kit so far. Currently you can get an Olympus 30mm f3.5 macro for $99 from the BHPhoto in the US - even after customs it's still cheaper than I've seen it over here.

Any what warranty Bristol Camera provide? 1yr or 2yrs? Otherwise £419 with kit lens at Argos and John Lewis with 2yr guarantee. The extras Bristol Camera (memory card, battery and case) are compelling.

Agree with the sigma 30mm f1.4 great lens

Great deal. The kit zoom is rather poor optically but very compact. So worth having for travel. But I would advise buying separately and second hand. A 30mm Sigma prime is the lens to get for this camera IMO. The 19mm and 60mm are also great and quite inexpensive.

Hi there I'm after a decent camera but split between all these different cameras Your feedback please! 🙏 G7x mark 2 LX 50 DMc -G7 Tz100 DMc lx100 Fz1000

Hi Woldranger, not proposing any alternative, just informing prospective buyers. Manufacturers are very good at using common terms to suit their marketing use. I own 2 Panasonic cameras as well as Nikon so agree they have their place.

why is it 'only' 8megapixel in 4k mode, thats the plus point - every frame in the video is a photo 4k IS 8MP I know 4K is 8MP, thus me writing this, thought that may be obvious. For photography, 8MP is very undesirable. If you want Video 4K is fine but not for photography. Also, I'm putting this info out there for people considering it, not slating the Camera.

R.e. Your megapixel comments, what are you proposing as an alternative?

its this price everywhere so the deal is in the extras personally the card and tripod id def not use and the case whilst useable is a bit ugly wex is the same price but with better tripod and card jessops has free stuff as well and prob all the others why is it 'only' 8megapixel in 4k mode, thats the plus point - every frame in the video is a photo 4k IS 8MP

so.... anyone think it looks like k-9? (angel)

Looks like K-9!!!!

I bought this from Amazon some time back and use it to carry my Lumix LX100. It fits the camera perfectly, there's an inner pouch the right size for the spare battery and the external pouch on the strap I use to carry the hot shoe flash and ND filter. I don't think you can go wrong for the price.

I have the larger version of this bag. It is perfect for a mirrorless camera. This I imagine is too small to fit any accessories. Mine takes an a6000 with a couple of small lenses (kit zoom plus 30mm prime or 19mm prime) plus two batteries and lens hoods. Zip closure opens quite wide, but yes you have to be a little careful. In use you only need to close the velcro flap.

My experience with Park Cameras left a lot to be desired. I ordered a camera over the phone after carefully spending quite some time chatting about specifications etc. Wondered why it had not arrived. When phoning them up I found there had been no stock in and it was a 'mistake'. The girl taking the order was learning. They had taken my money out too if I recall (although it was refunded). Maybe a one off but it certainly put me off from ordering ever again.
