Parkside Extendable Ratchet - Extends from 460 - 600mm, 1/2”, 12.5mm quick release ratchet

The general advice I followed in the past (I don't do much spannering these days) was that initial loosening of a fastening should only be done only with a breaker bar and that ratchets should only be used for the subsequent quick removal of the fastening. The reason being that you don't know how much torque you will need to initially break the fastening free and ratchet mechanisms are very much weaker than a breaker bar. And I certainly broke at least a couple of pretty good ratchets myself attacking stubborn fastenings before changing my ways. So based on that thinking it seems to me that adding an extendible bar to a ratchet might not be the best idea.

Great tool. Don't use with every tight bolt but great in restricted movement situations. A breaker bar can only rotate 90° per face but with a ratchet, its infinite virtually. Yes not as strong as a breaker bar but with its weight in gold in right situation.
