Manuka Honey...allegedly great.....because it provides more antibacterial activity in wound/acne healing...etc
So it's used in some medical bandages

But taken internally and at this price...who really knows????

I've bought some manuka honey UMF 15+ for two months. It's a bit of a con, didn't help with allergies, or anything else, but tastes less syrupy compared to bargin basement honey. Getting slightly more expensive honey is cheaper than buying this overpriced stuff and pretty much do as much good.

This is expensive as is. UMF 20+ costs £20 cheaper for other brands.

use honey dorset is good --manuka seems a con

A con? Heaven forfend!! The Telegraph 2009 "A recent survey of people who bought the stuff showed that 58 per cent of them believed Manuka honey to be better than ordinary honey, but they didn't know why. In addition, 70 per cent of them didn't know what the UMF (Unique Manuka Factor) number on the front of the pots meant." Magic bullets are normally expensive......

I'm not voting, but I guess £20 off is good if you were considering paying £64.99 for a small pot of honey. However, I somehow think most of the people in that category won't be members of HUKD.

The question is, if I start to use it, will I turn into John Holmes?
