A good cava is better than this overhyped French monopoly. Especially the cheap stuff. It's all in your mind.

I've no idea what this stuff is, and it might well be borderline undrinkable. At £10 I guess it's worth a punt, but I'd get a bottle not a crate, at least until I'd tasted it.
Generally I'd agree though a cremant feels a closer alternative than cava if you're looking for champagne-like flavour rather than just 'nice with bubbles'.
