    These seem okay, but generally speaking the Panasonic ones are best for the longevity of your batteries. This one seems questionable - NiMH should not be trickle charged.

    At least it has an EU certification though, none of this UK CA rubbish.

    There has been no change in standards. When we left Europe we were no longer entitled to use the CE mark, so the UKCA mark was introduced to replace it. In essence they are the same. From Jan 2023 the CE mark can't be used alone in Britain, it must be the UKCA mark but most of the requirements of the CE mark remain.

    It is possible there will be differences in the long distance future, but in the short term things remain the same.

    Yeah thanks, got this and 8 rechargeable AAs for less than £16 hopefully that will sate my kids need for batteries for console controllers! (edited)

    wanted to post that initially but decided to go for the cheaper alternative, whoever needs the alternative with batteries will see it and go for it. good choice 🏾

    Expect extremely slow charging.
    2A input is enough to charge 3-4 batteries, not 8.

    If you put in 8 flat batteries, it'd still be enough to charge them all overnight.
